that's what happened to me - i was calling just to check if there was a pin to my name (nope) and i said i will just book a value. Well there is this one time special offer for CBR for the same price as a value (of course I took it - mod for value price!).

I have called back to see if I could change it to a different place and keep the discount or get a preferred room and they said it would lose the discount (it really was just a one time offer, no changes allowed).

So I broke down and called to see if there were discounts attached to my name for the FIRST TIME EVER!

Nothing very exciting at all... AKL still rung in at $400 a night for savannah view

I am really hoping a discount comes in soon... I wanted so bad to be able to book tonight, but I need a little taken off that price in order for my wallet not to scream at me!

I was going to call and check to see if I have any deals attached to my name....... but now I'm afraid to. I'm waiting for free dining, and don't want to have to make an on the spot, non-changeable decision! One of the things I like about planning our Disney trips is the ability to change if I need to.

My understanding of these "take it or leave it" deals that people get during a call is that it is a one-time offer that pops up on the screen (or something along those lines). With this you could always change to a pin or general public code if you wanted to, but once you changed you couldn't get back the "take it or leave it" deal. This is different of course, for someone taking the "priceline" style pin that came in a different email, but that was stated as non-refundable. The "take it or leave it" deals are still refundable/cancellable/etc they are just a very short window of opportunity to snag offer.

If you go back to the home page and then click the blog link on the left, you'll see dates. Today's post (dated the 16th) says, only TWO more days until the big announcement.

Ok, cool. See the date now, thanks for telling me that. Hopefully it turns out to have some truth & it's good! I'm trying not to get my hopes up though, lol! (Trying being the word there!)
Wonder if it will be announcement on Sunday, bookable Monday?! Don't people usually know the day before & then the codes come the day it's released?

Hmmmm, I dunno. The way that blog post reads, it sounds like it may be an announcement he is making with something HE is doing thru his own website.
Maybe not but it just sounds that way to me after reading that.

The more I'm looking at his blog posts & his FB page, the more I think it's just an announcement for his pages & clients. He keeps talking about this announcement when people ask him questions about booking & going in Oct., Nov. or Dec.
But when someone asked why he thought they haven't releaed discounts for Nov., he tells them the lack of offers for fall/winter confuse him as well.
He was also supposed to make this announcement a few days ago but wasn't ready yet so he postponed it.
Those details tanked my hope of it being anything more than his site doing something big for people who book thru him.
I think his announcement has nothing to do with discounts & is a clever marketing scheme to get a lot of people to pay attention to his website & Like his FB page.
