i am also awaiting the fd offer to be release for oct/nov. i have about 5 families waiting for me to book their trips for them. do you think they will wait till after 8/27 (the date the fd offer expires they have out now) or put out another one? i'm just ready to have my trip booked!!!

Am waiting, hoping, for the free dining to get extended for November. Have a 5 day solo trip planned with the regular dining plan, then the trip continues for another week on the deluxe dining plan. Free dining would be a BIG plus!!

I am on the edge of my seat every day hoping a discount comes out for November. I'm really hoping for free dining. Otherwise, we'll probably be cancelling out Disney trip this year. Our family has had to adjust to a paycut when hubby was laid off & took a lesser paying job in early June (thankfully, I have been saving for our trip already). I've also considered staying off property and packing lunches. That may be our alternative so we can still go, but oh how I wish a free dining option would come along before I give up and go that route.

Maybe, if I call and cancel our current reservations and explain why I'm cancelling, a pin might "magically" appear on the CM's screen with an offer for a great discount.... hmmm. Anyone ever had that happen or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

Are you sure free DDP would be the best offer for you? Is the 2nd part of your trip solo too? Free DDP would be about a 28% discount on a weekday rate at a moderate but that is before you buy the photobook which would bring your savings on a 4 night stay to about 14% and then you would have to purchase new tickets and 2nd photobook for the 2nd part of your trip.

I was thinking about canceling our reservation to try and push for a PIN - but then remembered that part of why I booked early was to get the lower ticket prices...if I cancel and rebook - I pay the higher ticket rates...so I guess I continue to patiently wait.

I had to call and take my dinning off. Some things came up and it was take the dinning off or no trip at all. So I took the dinning off. I'm a little bummed but I know 3 adults can eat cheaper than $1100.00. Then i started thinking as bad as everything is I can't believe we were going to pay that much for food.

Subscribing. I've got a trip booked for Nov 1-8 and have been waiting for new discounts to appear. Since we have AP's for the first time, we're hoping that might work out for us.

We've got 2 rooms at POFQ booked through AAA. Two people in one room, one person in the other. So any "free" dining promotion would involve paying rack rate for both rooms plus purchasing the stupid memory book. I'm pretty sure it would be a bad deal in our case.

Since we've "been there/ done that" on the dining plan, we would be perfectly willing to book future trips offsite in order to get more space at a cheaper rate. The only thing we'd really miss is morning EMH but we could cope with that if the savings were big enough!

I got the Game On pin the mail today, and was so excited to see my Nov. dates! I called to find out it's for free quick service dining, which is great, but honestly I was hoping for a room only discount. I wish I could give this to someone!
Don't lose hope, pins are still coming for free dining! It looks like 11/19 to 11/25 are the only Nov dates blacked out. Recently I requested the maps, and also saved 1-2 vacation packages that I'd priced on the website, in case you're wondering how I got so lucky.
