Nov. 16 2013 7-night Fantasy Eastern Carribean Cruise

My son was 2 when we took him on his first cruise so I guess we have some experience.

I guess I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for having an infant onboard.

Has anyone used infant babysitting services (i.e. founder's reef, small world nursery) and how was it?

I have never cruised before with a stroller. Is it ok or pretty inconvenient?

We will probably book brunch at Palo and Remy.

Our table mate on the Magic put her son in Flounder's Reef all the time. She loved it and her son didn't want to leave. We took Tori's stroller with us on both cruises we did with her and had no problems. It was easy to maneuver around on the Magic with the stroller. It's a little harder getting on elevators near the theater right after a show, so I would suggest you leave the stroller behind and carry the baby to any shows you might take him to or if you have one of those baby carriers, that would work too.

I was kinda hoping since it was the week before Thanksgiving week it wouldn't be as crowded. We went in October last year and got into main dining no problem two months before hand. So now I am worried about how full the ship will be. Not that we would change the dates, but I really don't like crowded places. Is this normal for November or do you think some people who booked this cruise are confused and haven't figured out that it isn't over Thanksgiving week since Thanksgiving falls a week later this year? Just curious.

I just think that most people with children want the main dining instead of the late one. Our family has late dining. I always feel so rushed getting to the earlier seating, so we prefer the late one. I wouldn't worry about it. On my last cruise everyone in our FB group that had been wait listed ended up getting the main dining.

We actually requested late dining, so no problem there. I was just thinking that on the last DCL cruise we were on, there was still availability in main dining two months out, so the fact that it already has a wait list makes me wonder how much more crowded the ship (and kids clubs) will be over when we went last time.

So as soon as we booked, we had to changed again. We'll be sail in Feb so we have to wait a whole year ( Have a great time, you seemed like a fun group to cruise with. ENJOY

Thanks Margo! You are correct. The the Fantasy being such a large ship and I've heard stories about other groups having to deliver FEs to 50 or more staterooms, I thought it would be a lot more manageable to split the group. I'm thinking around 20 or 21 staterooms per list. I'll probably close the group out about 5 weeks prior to sailing in order to give everyone plenty of time to finish their gifts and pack them up or ship them directly to the ship.

Hey there!!! We ust did the 3 night dream for my 30th birthday and we rebooked these dates on board for our 12th anniversary. It will be my self husband and 4 year old daughter. It wasnt nearly long enough and I think we are hooked I would like to add we did FE and our group was only five families it was great ! I loved the smaller group.
