Nov 13 2015- Wonder Bahamian /Galveston

I am sailing with my, at the time of sailing, 10 year old and 5 year old daughters, and my son will have just celebrated his first birthday! We are all so excited to be sailing again on the Disney wonder.

Looking at the itinerary, it looks like there is a super short day in Nassau. Does anyone have any ideas why? Also, are there any excursions or things to do in such a short time ?

I have been seeing advertisements for the "frozen" cruises. Does anyone know if Anna and Elsa will be on our cruise and if we will be having the frozen parties?

We're doing a B2B so we have both cruises to make decisions on. I was originally thinking we wouldn't do any excursions on this cruise, since Castaway Cay is fun just as it is. Key West is easy to walk around ourselves. Even if it means making our way back to the ship shuttle in torrential rain with flooding of the streets up to our knees as happened last time. :lmao:Nassau we were considering just staying on the ship, but I've since noticed they are having a half day Atlantis excursion for our cruise since our port time is so short that I've been considering. Well that's the thought process as it currently stands.

Where are you seeing the Atlantis half day excursion?

I tried to send a PM to you, but I'm having trouble. I posted 10 times, can you try PM to me?
I am also having trouble trying to PM you. I have posted 10 times, but it still doesn't give that as an option. Could you please PM me as well?

It is a short port, so if we don't do this half-day, we'll probably just stay on board.

With how popular they are, I would guess they will be on board. I don't believe they are doing the Frozen party though on this cruise, but I'm not sure.

I received your PM and replied back to you. :thumbsup2

We just booked our first cruise and I'd love to sign up for the Fish Extender! We are a family of 4. Our daughter is 10, and our son 6.

:welcome: Hi, I'm organizing the FE's using PM (private message). You need to have posted at least 10 times to be able to send a PM. Just do what others have done and post the multiple times counting down until you get to ten. If you look on the previous pages, you can see others that have done this. Once you have gotten to 10, you can click on my disboard name to the right of my post and on the pop-up click Start a Conversation and you will be able to PM me.

In the PM please include who you are traveling with, for example in the past I've traveled with my sister and my children so I was traveling with (DSis, DS(16), DD(9), another example if traveling with husband and kids would be DH, DD(5), DS(3)) and whether anyone has any allergies we need to be aware of.

:jumping1: It's official, we'll be on a Very MerryTime Cruise!

Holiday Cheer at Castaway Cay
A winter wonderland awaits you aboard each ship—as well as at Castaway Cay!

Disney's private island paradise is transformed with "snow" flurries, a Christmas tree and more. Be on the lookout for Mr. and Mrs. Snowman, dressed in their island attire. Plus, the island's tram is decorated to resemble a reindeer, complete with antlers and a tail.

Onboard Experiences

On the ship, discover a festive fusion of holiday-themed entertainment, activities and décor—with a life-sized gingerbread house, 24-foot Christmas tree, garlands, poinsettias, shimmering lights and more!

Other holiday enhancements include:

  • Deck the Deck Tropical Holiday Party, a celebration in addition to Pirate Night, with candy-cane limbo, dancing and games
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony, where kids can help light the tree and kick off the holiday festivities
  • Santa Claus meet-and-greet, an exciting opportunity to take family pictures and see Santa and his elves
  • Meet-and-Greets with some favorite Disney Characters, dressed in their holiday attire
  • Teen-only and tween-only holiday parties—private celebrations where teens and tweens can hang out with new friends
  • Holiday storytelling, with new and old tales about holidays at sea and around the world
  • Themed activities and crafts for kids—decorate stockings, make holiday cards, go on a holiday scavenger hunt and more
  • A life-sized gingerbread house made completely with edible ingredients—and the opportunity to make your own gingerbread house*
  • Holiday merchandise available for this event

As exciting as all that sounds, I was kinda hoping to have all the characters in their regular cruise island attire for our first ever Disney cruise. But the tree etc sounds neat to see!

I understand. We felt the same way trying to catch the Haunted Mansion in its original state at Disneyland. We kept catching it during the holidays. I haven't done a holiday cruise before, but my guess is it will be a mix of regular and holiday attire. Formal night will still be formal, Pirate night will still be pirate, Captain Mickey will still be as he is. I'm not sure what they'll do for Castaway Cay, but I hope its not all holiday all the time.

I just sent the FE update to everyone I could. I can no longer PM Stacey Landrith because your post count is back down to 4. Did you by chance delete your posts? If so, please post again up to 10 so that I can communicate with you through PM as that is the method I'm using for FE updates and to share the list.

Sorry! I consider myself tech savy but this forum thing is new to me. NOT easy to find things at all! I'll figure it out.
