Back into full-time planning mode here! I'm working on the Fish Extender exchange list and am needing some more info from the following people. I'm putting on here what I already know, so those of you working on the gifts already will have a better head count, then will update the list with specifics as I get them.

Also, will leave it up the the group if we want to do this as one big exchange or break it up. Right now it looks managable as 1, but will let everyone decide what you think is best. It's up to each individual if you want to do a cabin gift, individual, just kids, just one for the couple...etc...Just have fun!!

I think we should shoot for a 75 day cut-off for the final list. That gives 2 more weeks for people to sign up, and will still give plenty of time to get the gifts together. What do ya'll think??

Charlene thanks again for organizing FE Just my 2 cents I think ok as one big group but if we get more than 30 staterooms I would suggest splitting so it does not overwhelm

Hi everyone.
I just joined the boards today, though I have been reading them all week. Me and my youngest son will be on the Nov. 13th Wonder cruise. We have an inside stateroom. My oldest son will be going also with his family, wife and 3 kids. They have the varandah room, so we will use theirs . It is the first cruise all of us have ever been on. Can't wait. They have their room on level 6, and I am hoping I can get on their floor. It would be nice to be near by them. Right now I am in limbo. I have been working on magnets but not sure if I will have fish extenders or not. We shall see. I am looking forward to
hearing from others who will be on our ship.

There have been a number of questions regarding the FE process. Here is something we put together for another cruise that covers the basics:

Remember the FE Exchange is supposed to be FUN. It should not become daunting.

Make it whatever you want. Some folks work from scratch and their talents really come through; others buy items that they think will bring a smile to the recipients. We have gotten gifts as simple as Disney pencils, candy bars, homemade magnets, postcards from hometowns/states, etc. Some are simply left in the FE, others are bagged (usually the small bags you would use for candy etc at kids parties) with ribbon, etc.

We generally do a gift per cabin, sometimes with small candy per person. Sometimes it depends on how far we're traveling to the ship (for west coast or overseas the FE gifts tend to be smaller for obvious reasons). On some cruises we've joined with others and done a group gift - lanyards and namebadges or wristbands. Each cruise is different, that’s what makes it fun.

Delivering the gifts is also a fun experience, also a great way to see the ship and all the cabin door decorations. Kinda feels like being an elf at Christmas. Some folks leave their gifts anonymously, others have their disname, others their first names; whatever you want. When you leave your gift is also up to you; we'll usually leave ours on a sea day. If your gift is themed, i.e. pirate, you may want to leave it on a certain day.

We’ve also volunteered to post the FE list on our cabin door so folks can make or check for any last minute cabin changes.

Remember FE = Fun.

I know in the first fe list put out she specified some of them, by putting (dw) near wife name if name is questionable.
ie. (mine is Bobbie, which always throws people)
i didn't check for kids but see if
dd-disney daughter
ds- disney son

Thank you. The information really helps. I am thinking of making one item per couple and one item for each child. I am coming from CA and I am worried about room in the suitcase. I have changed some things so people can see the girls (DW and DD) and boys (DH and DS).
