Nov. 10, 2013-4 Night Bahamian Dream

Do we have a name for our cruise? Like dreamin' in November or....Nemo's November Dream. Anyone have any ides?

I have a friend who is a DISniner and can make anything we want: )

It's official-we just made our final payments for this cruise on the Dream!! :woohoo: We will be cruising with my DSis (26), her DS (8 1/2 months at cruise time), my DB (23)-all in Rm 8051 and DM, DF, and myself (28) in Rm 8056. It will be the second cruise for everyone except my dad and nephew. We are so excited for this last minute vacation-a fathers day for DD and birthday gift for DM gift from DB and I! We will be staying at AOA for a few days afterward to spend even more time with my DB. :beach: SO EXCITED!!

as for the FE-it sounds like fun but i'll have to see if my family is interested before I commit to it-plus i've got to read some more about it myself but we'll let you know shortly :)

ps thanks for coordinating all this:grouphug:!!

*5K Fantasy CC July 13
5K Oct Espn
5K 5K Dream Nov 13

Did both on Fantasy last June. Any questions and i'll post answer or my thoughts.

One tip--on our cuise last June there was no moon-or at least not visible. So after sunset there is no view--just black.

They do give you a pirate theme hankerchief. We also hit local party store and Disney outlet or more stuff.

Welcome! Be sure to have your sis sign up for some nursery time when the booking window opens for yall. I don't think our cruise will be very full but it's always good to reserve peak times (like dinner and shows) as early as possible, just in case. :-) Let me know if you decide to join the FEE! I can answer any FE-related questions as well!

Don't feel bad for not knowing how to add graphics. It took me a LONG time to figure it out! If you have questions, I may be able to help. I am also coordinating the FEE so let me know if you want to sign up or have questions about that.

I was planning on doing it this trip but I had surgery a few weeks ago and the recovery has been MUCH slower than anticipated. I've never been a runner before and was planning on doing one of those "couch potato to 5K" programs. Unfortunately, they take at lest 9 weeks (and that would have been pushing it for me) so I think I'm going to skip out this time. Next time it's on, though! :-)

Hi all!! I know our paid-in-full date is right around the corner so I'm hoping more people are going to be joining us soon!!

If you are interested in participating in the FEE or would like to join our FB group, please PM me or send me an email to katiepetty@hotmail.com.

I'm happy to answer any questions!

I'll be setting up a meet for the first day in the next week or so. Let me know if you know of a good place to meet on the Dream. That'll save me some research time! :-)

Yeah, we are all paid up as of last night. Got a check in time of 11:00am.

I also booked the Watercraft Ski Adventure excursion in Castaway Cay for three people (one dual and one single). Has anyone else here done this before?

Maybe we can meet somewhere so we can do the sail away party together?

:cool1: just to make clear--i am not a runner

Walk, sometimes quickly. I had stroke with emergency brain surgery 4 yrs ago. Im 1/4 blind, balence off sometimes, short term memory is not great. However was blessed with chance to be with my family and let go of not being perfect(im a virgo)
Im rattleing off course. We took 2 hrs for cc5 k. At time it was from boat to tower to adult beach to tower to family beach. We were stopping to take pictures. Cast membe brandy came looking for us-she was great! So anyone need 5k slow-go mates youre welcome to join us.:cool1:

Does anyone have a FB cabana booked who wants to find someone to share with? We have 4 in our party (myself, my mom, DD7 and DD3) and would love the opportunity to have access to a cabana for this trip! I'm watching for cancellations but thought I'd check this way too! :thumbsup2

We are going on our first cruise EVER and our kids are young, 3.5 and 2. I assume there isn't much for us to do in Nassau? I think we might stay on the ship that day.

We did the Castaway Cay 5K last cruise (our honeymoon). It was extremely humid but we had fun. They didn't have medals for all the runners like some of the cruises reported :(

FEE UPDATE -- We are officially at 15 families (16 cabins) for Group 1 so I am closing it! When you go to the spreadsheet, you will now find two tabs on the bottom, Group 2 is first (and currently blank except for my family) and Group 1 is the second tab. If you would like to be in both groups, feel free to add yourself to Group 2 as well. I will close Group 2 1 month before sailing or when it reaches 15 families, whichever happens first. Please let me know if you have any questions!!

:cool1:

Cinderella 0425 sorry to hear that! like I put we were last. brandy came out to find us. we due to stopping to take pics- were about 1/2 way. being 1st time and my health we took our time. she took our name and cabin# said she make sure the medals would get to us. at end of day the were on our bed with note from her. so by time we got back to start point theyd moved on so I don't know if everyone else got theirs at end point or not.
did they run out of them for you or ?

Hi Everyone!
Just checking in. My wife Donna and I are flying to MCO on 11/1, doing the 7 day Eastern on the Fantasy starting on 11/2, spending 11/9 at WDW and then joining you all on 11/10 for the 4 day Bahamas. It's kinda a B2B. Since we're flying from the west coast, we figured "why not?!" Can wait for our vacation to start! -Mike

Wow! I thought our 12 days was a lot. :-) How much fun and memories will be had! And, glad to see another northwestern family! (We are in Seattle).

We are going to have our first meet at 2pm on sail away day in the Vista Cafe on deck 4 midship. This is a great opportunity to meet everyone in our group and update me if there are any cabin changes that will affect the FEE.

Also, if you want to be spotted by other DISers (or not, LOL!), be sure to wear something lime green or put something lime green on your backpack/suitcase/carry-on/whatever! It's a DIS tradition and a fun thing to watch for as you're waiting for your boarding number to be called in the terminal. We ended up in line right next to two of our group members and only realized it due to the lime green luggage tags. It was a funny "wait, are you...?" / "yeah! are you...??" moment and a fun way to start our last cruise!
