Why am I up at 5am? We leave for the hotel at the airport today and then fly out tomorrow. I was just laying in bed with all the things I need to do today running through my head and since I wasn't getting any sleep anyway decided to pop on here. I don't expect to get to the hotel till about 6 tonight since I lost a day of packing and planning when I was sick. The girls formal dresses finally came in the mail yesterday, I was sweating that one. I love them though so I'm excited. Anyway if I don't get a chance to get back on here. Everyone have a safe and healthy trip. See you there!

Have a safe trip! We leave first thing in the morning! I have DS6's pirate costume completely finished (accessories, buttons ect), so had him put it on yesterday. He was really in the Disney mood! Picture is below. Got a lot of packing done. Got DD's pirate costume done (except for the elastic in the pants, I need to do that today.) I still need to do the elastic in the neck of my costume, Hem DS16's shirt and put the buttons on the rest of the guy pirate costumes and I'm DONE! I also have to go to the bank for travellers cheques (our bank didn't have the US VISA), get a few groceries so my mom can eat while we are gone (actually, I might just give her the money and she can shop tomorrow), and clean the living room, then I can relax. DH will pack up the van. WOW, it's actually all coming together! The final luggage tags were delivered via UPS yesterday. Nice travel document pouch came with it and it had lots of Mickey head glitter inside (fell out when I pulled out the documents). Normally I don't like that stuff, BUT THESE WERE MICKEY HEADS!! Gotta LOVE that!
Going to have a nice family dinner tonight and watch a Disney Movie, not sure which one yet, but it's supposed to be a relaxing fun evening. If I don't post again here, everyone have a safe trip to Port and we'll see you all on the WONDER!

Have a safe trip and an enjoyable relaxing night. Your DS looks so cute in his pirate costume. You did a great job on it.
We leave in 5 days. I'm getting really nervous about leaving my kids though. I'm sure they will be fine with my mom. I will probably call them about 10 times a day though and e-mail them while we are on the ship. I'm also sure my DH and I will enjoy our alone time since this is the first time we have taken a trip alone. See you soon!

I will probably be scarce here myself this week. I need to tie up any loose ends at work before I go, make sure DD does this week's schoolwork/makeup work, and, of course, pack. I also need to shop for just a few more things. I'm trying not to leave everything 'til last minute, but somehow it always ends up that way.

I am still so worried about getting sick. I didn't get trip insurance since this was fairly last minute.

Same here on both accounts! I'm usually not a germaphobe by any means, but this past week I had to travel to Wisconsin for work and met with a bunch of people. They said that a lot of people in the office were absent with the flu, and some schools in the area were even closed because of it. Every time someone shook my hand, I ran and used some hand santizer or washed my hands.

YIPPEE!! TODAY'S THE DAY! I did not get much sleep last night. The excitement in me prevented it. My head just kept swimming with what we'll do, where we are going. Funny things is, my kids all slept SO soundly, in fact 3 of them are still sound asleep! I finally finished all the costumes. My mother sewed on the buttons and latches. Having problems right now with our NEW GPS system. Got it a couple of months ago. DH updated the maps overnight on the computer, but now it can't find anything!!!! It's like he earsed ALL the maps! He'll figure out how to get it to work though, OH, he just said he got it work. Hope it's not that finicky on the drive! OK, gotta go get dressed, get the kids up, have breakfast, pack the van (no that didn't get done last night like it was supposed to!) and WE ARE OFF! SEE You all on board!

Just checked the 10 day weather outlook for Orlando - it looks like temps are expected to be a little above average (mid 80's). Today is my packing day - the kids are at my parents - I'm hoping to keep them there most of the day. I printed out magnets for our door yesterday - I didn't think I would get to it, but now I'm so glad I took the time to do it. Hearing about all of you making costumes & autograph books really inspired me!

Wow, drove 11 hours yesterday and arrived in Fredericksberg VA. The kids were pretty good for the most part, DS6 asking only once (and only 45 minutes into the trip), "Are We There Yet?"
Does anyone know if you can cash travellers cheques in DW or on the cruise? The gas station here wouldn't accept them. Good thing we've brought some cash with us! Planning to get at least over the Florida boarder today.

I know Disney World will cash them, we just got back from there last month. Not sure about the Disney Boat, this will be my 1st Disney cruise on the Wonder on Nov 1st. See you on board!

Sorry to hear about your kids. I got mine vaccinated last Saturday, couldn't find the adult vaccine anywhere in NY so bringing some Tamiflu on board in case.

Have three bottles of sanitizer, one in the minivan, two in school backpacks...would wear a full pantsuit of it these days if I could.

Won't give me Tamiflu for adults. We are in short supply here and I had to beg to give them to my kids...and only because I am going away did they write me a prescription. Crazy!!

Both my DD and I had it last week. We are both better but still have the cough. Neither of us were up to doing much for 5-7 days. The doctor wouldn't even release my daughter to go back to school for 7 days. I hope everyone is feeling better soon.

Just in case anyone was wondering, it is beautiful weather here in Orlando! We did end up arriving here last night and it was 28 degrees celcius out then, and is 33 now (we are metric). It just rained heavily but only lasted 10 minutes (did the same last night) and it is now almost 6pm. It was sunny with a few clouds all day. At least for the evenings, no one right now needs to worry about sweaters or hoodies, it is very warm and humid (muggy), but we are loving it! It was about 4 degrees out when we left home (but sunny).
Heading off to Ponderosa now for dinner (DH and I haven't been to one of those since we were kids). They don't exist in Canada anymore, or at least not in Ontario. Tomorrow it is off to DTD for a good portion of the day then Thursday morning we check into CBR till cruise time. Ntongan, I got your pm, and will change that on the master lists.
Don't forget everyone to find me in the terminal or at the mickey pool to get updates on cabin changes. I've brought lots of extra master lists!
