Nov.1 2009 on the Wonder! it's never too early to chat!the

Maybe I'm mistaken about it being buffet. I'll have to check into that again. I looked at it on allears.net, but perhaps read it wrong. Still want to go there in any case.
Does anyone know where and how much lockers are in MK? We want to take our Halloween costumes but don't want to change into them till after dinner. We'll be in MK when it opens in the morning, and don't want to go back to our Hotel in between.

Checked it again and you were right, it's served family style (what exactly does that mean?). I guess I mistook it for buffet since the child menu is the same as the adult menu AND it does say "All you can eat", which is typically "Buffet". It all sounds good though.

Usually with family style. The food is brought to the table and set in the middle (enough for the whole family) and the family serves themselves from those dishes. Think Thanksgiving. They refill whatever runs out and you can eat as much as you want.

MJ- Congrats on your upcoming marriage too! When I tell people we're taking a Disney Cruise for our honeymoon, they give us strange looks! (But, we're also getting married on Halloween-- we march to the beat of a different drum!)

I can't believe how quickly its coming up! Since this is our first, we can't book anything until August 18th, but that's not too far away!:lovestruc

We're going to see if I can get a ressie for crystal palace. Hopefully with the buffet we can get in and out somewhat quickly. My kids are a little older so I don't think they'll do much with the characters. Liberty looks like it has a great menu too. Family style is really nice as you don't have to get up and down and worry about what the kids are doing. I'm hoping to eat at about 4-4:30 so, we will have to see where we can get a ressie.

We can't book anything until 8/18 either. It will be here before we know it. I'm getting so excited!:cool1:

Jilly and MJ, were either of you planning on booking a Palo Dinner?
I don't know if it will apply to our cruise as I think we are sailing "Off Season", but I've heard that it's difficult First time cruisers to get a Palo Reservation because the spaces get taken by those who can book earlier out.
Don't know if this appropriate, but I don't see anything wrong with it, but DH and myself will NOT be making a Palo Dinner Reservation (plan on a Brunch one instead), so if one of you would like, I can make the reservation for dinner under my name, but give it to you once on board. People on another thread mentioned this and it worked out fine for them. Let me know. I'll be making our Reservations on Monday morning August 3rd,(well Actually Sunday night as I'll be online at midnight to do all that, LOL). Or I can book it anyway, then if you are actually able to on your date, I can cancel mine then.

OH, Also, does anyone want an Itinerary to either decorate your stateroom door with or for your scrapbook? I'm making those up for others, Here's mine

If anyone wants one, I'll pm it to you.

Judy,
I would love one. My last name is Dugger.
Thank you, Julie

Thank you for the generous offer, but we are not planning on booking Palo. The only thing that I'm concerned about booking is the Sea Lion Encounter.

OMG....that design you did up is awesome!!!! What program did you design it in? I would love one. Our last name is Ainsworth.

Only 95 more days! :woohoo: I love the countdown on the new DCL reservation page. I've been checking often because we are getting closer and we have a GTY room. I know that they usually assign rooms around 30 days, but it never hurts to check.

Judy,

I would like an itinerary... last name is "Theis."

Thanks for the offer of Palo, but I hadn't planned on making reservations.

:o)

Did everyone whos doing WDW pre cruise get their ADR's made this morning?
Did you get what you wanted? MJ, I saw your list on the dining board, I left you a message about Tony's. Keep trying over the next several days, somthing just might open up for you.

We're staying for 2 nights before (make ADRs tomorrow AM) and 5 nights after (make those ADRs next Friday). I am very nervous about getting what I need now that the window is only 90 days & they are offering free dining. Did you have good luck with you ADRs this morning? I have a few hard to get ADRs (Le Cellier, Fantasmic Dinner Pkg, CRT) - I don't think I could possibly get all three. :sad2:

Did you try for a dinner at MK on 10/31? We're hoping for The Plaza. I guess we'll see how it goes tomorrow morning! :surfweb:

I'm going to keep trying to see what happens. If I don't get Tony's, I was thinking about Liberty Tree.

The CM that I spoke was extremely helpful. Also, when I called she said I have the dining plan. I had no idea that I had it. I don't remember paying for it. Maybe it was pixie dust. However, I'm not complaining.

The one ADR that I was disappointed that I couldn't get was TUsker House 8am before park opening. They had a 8:10 for 3 people. We're only 2, so I booked the 8:30 that was offered. I'm going to keep trying, but I also booked a 1:30 there, so we may do lunch and have special seating for the afternoon nemo show.

How'd everyone else do?

Perhaps book liberty tree now anyway, and cancel it if Tony's becomes available. That way at least you still have something for that evening. You can book more than one for the same evening, and then cancel later the one you don't want.
Someone else told me they got a certain restaurant for 1:30 and several days or weeks later, a 4pm finally became available and then today 4:30 became available. A few people have so far mentioned this was the case. So I'm hoping it works that way for us (includes you).
Here's how our ADR's look so far:
Oct 29th - Le Cellier 2:45 (hoping to change that to a dinner time)
Oct 30th - Sci Fi 6:25
Oct 31st - Liberty Tree 5:20
Nov. 1st - Chef Mickey's 7:30AM!

All but Le Cellier are the exact times I asked for, give or take 10 minutes.

MJ, looks like you did get some Pixie Dust! (re: dining plan)
Weneedketchup, I wish we could have had the FREE dining plan. Can't do that with a Land/Sea package booked as that. Could have if like you, we booked it all separately. I'll have to keep that in mind if there is ever a next time!

These ADR's are driving me nuts in my head. I have a hard time planning out food 90 days in advance. Now, I'm thinking that I might get rid of all of the Tusker House ones and go somewhere in DTD that night. We are going to AK during the day and I'm thinking about DTD that night.

I don't really know what to expect because it's our first trip. I figure that we won't see it all, but I'm good with that, but would like to at least get a sampling of the 4 major parks and DTD.

I'm feeling much more relaxed about the cruise.

We check in on 10/30 do you know when we can make our ADR'S? I got 2 different answers when I called, one CM said 8/1 and the other told me 8/2???

I hope we can get something decent in the MK for 10/31, i'll keep my fingers crossed on that.

You can book tomorrow (8/1). My package starts on 10/29 and I was able to book today.

All mine are booked and ready to go. The day my 90 days came I only booked two of them 50's prime time and sci fi because I was doing room only and paying for my meals. I got sci fi for exactly what I wanted but 50's was off by 20-30 minutes, not too bad. Then the next day we called and changed it to free dining and it was a last minute thing so I was scrambling trying to decide where I wanted to eat and how to fit the restaurants into our schedule. We ended up also booking Tusker house donalds breakfast (wanted 8am got 8:30), Cinderella castle breakfast (wanted 8am got 8:30, was surprised anything was available at that point), 1900 park fare dinner (got the time we wanted, this will be Jules birthday dinner), and we are also eating beaches and cream with no ressie. Not the best value cost wise but these are what the kids like and it's Free:cool1: I was looking forward to booking my ressies online but it didn't work for me. When you put the number of kids it would tell you you had to enter their ages but it wouldn't give me the room to do it. I was so annoyed I had to call because for some reason I can never get a good connection with them no matter what phone I use.
