Anyone want to guess?? I know there is a "good" reason, but why are there no PIN offers for the first week of November?:confused3

Has anyone gotten any sort of discount at all for this time period? We are planning on upgrading to AP's for this trip. Is Jersey Week blacked out for AP discounts too?

The crowds aren't that bad during Jersey week. I also don't buy into the fact that it is the reason why pins are blacked out that week. If you book 12/22 your pin is valid for Christmas week, which is by far busier than Jersey week.

AAA is the only discount I have now, but at least it is something. :rolleyes1 I am curious too, to know if anyone in the past has gotten another type of discount for this time frame. Right now, I am feeling like the "red-headed step child" of PIN and Free Dining offers. :joker:

The week in November that Jersey week falls on, which varies from year to year, is always blacked out for discounts - FD, RO it otherwise.

I received a pin for a 10/20/30% off room-only discount during Jersey week in 2010. It was our second visit during that time of year, and the first time we received a discount.

We're also going from 11/1 through 11/10 this year and did receive the FD Pin that lots of others are talking about -- but obviously can't use it based on our dates. Currently we're planning for no discounts, but we do have a Plan B in place (which includes upgrading resorts if possible) should a discount come up for this year.

As far as crowds go: F&W Festival is wrapping up in Epcot so that park will have the normal crowded weekends to deal with. And the weekend of 11/9-11/10 is the Wine & Dine Half Marathon, Festival of the Masters at DTD, and Veteran's Day weekend ..... so that Fri-Sat-Sun stretch will probably be croweded overall.

But from 11/1 - 11/6 or 11/7, the crowds should be what I'd consider 'light' to 'average'. Extremely reasonable compared to the spring break/Easter, summer, or holidays. Jersey Week seems to affect pricing & discounts much more than it affects overall crowd level.

There hasn't been any discounts during NJ week for many years.

Crowds are still on the light side, but it's economics. Half the state goes down on vacation pulling the kids out for 3 days (or just the weekend). Therefore there's no incentives for Disney to offer anything during this time as those people will still go down regardless.

NJ Teacher's Convention is held on 11/7 and 11/8. There are no classes during those days. Probably less than 1% attend the convention - most will take a vacation during the long weekend and many will fly south. Some will pull the kids out the other 3 days and make it a week long break.

We were there for part of Jersey week last year (11/7-11/11). It was definitely crowded, but nothing insane (other than the first night of MVMCP being sold out). As the PP mentioned, the F&WF was very busy over the weekend, but during the week there were hardly any crowds until later on in the evening.

Very encouraging! Sounds like my 11/2-11/7 will be awesome! And now we've decided to top it off with a 3-nite cruise 11/7-11/10 :-)

Don't forget that that weekend (Nov. 8-10) is the Epcot Wine and Dine half marathon as well. We'll be going, so I'm holding out hope that SOME discount will be offered.

I had an AP rate for Jersey week in 2011. (We did Tues-Tues at the BC). We also had one in 2010 and stayed BWI. (ETA: The 2010 was a pincode- sorry!!)

I really thought there was some room discount last year since my ILs took all the grandkids at that time and they stayed in a Cars Suite. I want to say that it was only 5% off (because of the newness of AoA), but they didn't take it because they had booked their trip before the June 2012 ticket price increase. By modifying to include the discount, the ticket prices would have gone up and negated the savings. My SIL and her family also went and stayed LM and I know they were excluded from everything.

We are going again this year at that time and I'm sure we will get something, but it will probably be a late offer and the pickings will be slim.

I have been plenty of times during Jersey week and we are going 11/6-11/12 this year. It is never as crowded as some people make it seem.. nothing like summer and holiday crowds! You will find many families from NJ that week due to schools being closed for teacher conventions.

I have read from several people on here that FD was available during veterans day and Jersey Week last year, so I don't know why it would be blacked out either. I know quite a few things are going on, but that is the norm nowadays with WDW. The really slow times of the year when the parks are nearly empty seem to be long gone. I am not expecting FD... I won't be disappointed that way but it would be nice!
