And now my favorite part of this safari, the baby elephant with its mom! The baby is so cute.

Flame Tree BBQ was a very good CS meal, but the birds in their seating area are super annoying. But maybe that is because I hate birds.

The baby elephant is so cute!

Seems like Flame Tree has gone down on our list in the past couple of years. We still like it, but the quality and choice of food seems to have lessened, in our opinions. It still smells soooo good when we walk by, though. A lot of people won't eat down at those tables because of the birds, but I kind of like the photo ops I get from them being so close. I'm not scared of them, but I can see how people who are not fond of them would be less than happy there, because they are everywhere.

Nice update. I love seeing any pictures of Animal kingdom.

That was our first time eating at Flame Tree. It was good, but I was in Nashville back in March & ate at Jack's BBQ. It was really good, Flame Tree couldn't compare to it.

I can wait to see Festival of the Lion King. It's the show I'm most excited for! Oh I also went to the Lady A concert a few days ago. They were pretty awesome. We met Charles but not the others. It was a really fun night

FOTLK is a great show, you won't be disappointed.

Day 3: Animal Kingdom & more
I left you with us having some lunch! After lunch DDad, DMom, & DSis wentover to see Flights of Wonder. Now, I'm not crazy about birds. I just don't like them and I don't think they like me either. I was walking out of my house once and a bird fly right into my leg, beak first & I was wearing shorts! Ick!!! I still cringe when I think of it! So, needless to say, I didn't want to attend this show. But word on the street was that it was pretty exciting. Good thing DMom took many pictures!
Just looking at this picture I get the heebie jeebies:

So if you've ever see this show, you know that there is some audience interaction. And one of the things is that they ask if anyone in the audience has a one dollar bill & DSis knew this so she had one ready. For weeks all she talked about was how she wanted to get picked. And what they do is have the volunteer with the dollar bill hold up the bill and then they have a bird swoop down and take it from you & then the bird flies back and gives it back to you. Why anyone in their right mind would volunteer to do this is beyond me. But DSis got picked!

And meanwhile, I was at Island Mercantile shopping & meeting Lilo & Stitch. The line was kinda long, but what else was I going to do? They went for like 4 pineapple juice breaks while I was on line.

So when I got up there I gave the photopass photographer my camera to take a picture:

After I met them only like a half hour had passed so I went into Island Mercantile to look around.
The entrance was cool looking:

I loved these shirts! I first saw them in MeMom's trip report, so I was excited to go and see them in person. I wound up getting the orange one, but not today, I got it back at CBR.

These water bottles were kind of cute:

So pretty soon DFamily met me in there and I heard all about Flights of Wonder.
We walked around AK a little bit & took a picture in front of the Tree of Life:

Then we decided we would head out and go back to CBR. Except on the way out a CM comes up to us and asks us if we ate at AK today and we say yes. So she asks us if we want to fill out a survey. And normally we wouldn't but DDad decided he wanted to fill it out, I think he thought we would get something free out of it. We also though it would be multiple choice. It wasn't & it was loooooong. This may sound bad but towards the end we started making stuff up, we were in the hot sun and wanted to get back to CBR. I think they asked us what we ordered at Yak & Yeti and we put a hamburger, oh well, we could have just been confused.
So finally we walked over to the bus stops & we see a CBR bus pulling away. So I decided to flag it down. DSis said,'You're not allowed to do that! It won't stop'. And what do you know, it pulled over to let us on! Ha! we would've been waiting awhile if we didn't get that bus. Or we could have gotten the bus when it was still waiting if we hadn't done the survey.
So when we finally got back to the room, this is what DSis looked like:

This afternoon I wanted to go swimming because yesterday at Publix I got a noodle for the pool! So i got on my bathing suit & DSis came with me, but she wasn't going to go in the pool, I think she was going to lay in the hot sun.
So I go in the pool, it looks nice and refreshing, but it felt like I was stepping into a bowl of hot soup! It was really warm. But it was cooler then just staying in the sun. So I stayed in for a little bit and then dried off and went back to the room. It was shot today so I decided to wear a tank top for when we went out for the night.
So we rested for a bit & then we decided all of us were going to go to Epcot for dinner! Instead of taking the bus we drove over to the Boardwalk and we entered though the International Gateway. This is really nice because when you go in you're already in the World Showcase! When we entered we saw Belle in France & she was all alone. She had no line!

Then we were really hungry, well I was anyway, so we went over to our respective countries to eat. DParents were going to eat in the USA, DSis in Mexico, and me in China. But DSis was going to bring her Mexican food to China so we wouldn't eat alone. Plus they're redoing Mexico's CS and there was no place to sit.
I got Orange Chicken, Peach Oolong Tea, & Red Bean Ice Cream:

I don't know what DSis got for a meal, but I do know that she had a churro for dessert because I have pictures of her eating it. I call it the Churro Photo Shoot!

Then we went over to Mexico because DParents were going to meet us there.

While we waited we rode the Mexico ride:

Then we met up with DParents and we walked over to the Future World area. We were going to ride Test Track! We got on the single rider line and we were able to ride 3 times, with no wait! The we looked around Mouse Gear & DSis & I decided that we were going to go over to MK via the monorail! So DParents went back to CBR I think and DSis & I headed over to MK!

I saw the face on the father, he looks amazed! & yeah the son looks scared.
The red bean ice cream tastes like strawberry ice cream. It's very good, but people probably don't get it because it doesn't sound very appetizing.

What a great pic of you and Belle. Thats awesome that you have had the chance to meet them multiple times. I was surprised at how tall Charles was! I was like WOW he is the tallest/skinniest man I've ever seen . I didnt get a pic with him or anything. There were way bigger fans than me around (crying, shouting, shaking lol) so I didnt bother to ask, instead I took a few pics for pple. But ya, loving your report and all the pictures!

I've notice in your recent Belle photo you grew!!! Belle is my favorite also. On my DD's first trip to WDW we had breakfast at CRT and she made a point to tell Belle that I liked her. So every time we meet Belle I get my picture taken with her and my DD.

Thank you! yes, when I first met them he was like a giant & so skinny, too. There's always crying/shaking people, I don't get like that, some people get over excited, lol.
