"Nothing's sweeter than summertime and a Disney vacation!" -A 2010 TR- *UPDATE* 10/17

I would be the one holding the wheel to avoid as much spinning as possible
I've seen parents do that when they're on with their kids. :lmao:
Space Mountain and the Transit Authroity were closed last August when we went. I'm glad they were open for you. The dole whip looked delish - that is another thing I wanted to do last August and didn't. Looks like I have to go back!
Now you have a reason to go back! :goodvibes :woohoo:
Great TR and Photos!!! I'm in.
Thank you!! :welcome:

Day 2: Outlets, DTD, MK (again)
So when I left off, we were back at CBR after spending the day at Magic Kingdom. We rested in the room for a little bit and then went out to the outlets that are right outside of WDW. Actually only DMom & DSis went to the outlets while DDad & I went to Publix to get cases of water. After going to the outlets & Publix, we went over to Downtown Disney. We wanted to look around & have dinner there.
We went to World of Disney first. I love this store, but it's so big! Then we went over to the T-Rex restaurant, DSis wanted to look at the Build-a-Dino store.
IMG_4446.jpg

On the website, she saw a Velociraptor or something that she wanted to build, but it turned out that they were all sold out of them.
DSis examining a dino:

IMG_4449.jpg

We walked around there for a little bit, and then went out.
DSis & I in front of the lego sea monster:
IMG_4450.jpg

We decided we were hungry now so we went over to Wolfgang Puck Express for some dinner.
On the way, it wasn't too crowded tonight.
IMG_4451.jpg

When we got in we looked at the menu for a bit and then ordered. I went to go find a table, even though it wasn't too crowded.
IMG_4452.jpg

I got the Pennette Chicken Alfredo. It was really good!
IMG_4453.jpg

with a sugar cookie for dessert:
IMG_4456.jpg

DSis got Macaroni & Cheese:
IMG_4454.jpg

& DParents got each got Pepperoni Pizza:
IMG_4457.jpg

DMom got cheesecake for dessert, DSis got a sugar cookie, & DDad got frozen yogurt.
After dinner, we went to the Design-a-Tee place. It was really cool inside, I don't know why I didn't take any pictures!
I decided to design a shirt. It had Jessie & Bullseye on it and it said Walt Disney World. I wore it later in the trip, so I didn't take a picture of just the shirt.
After that, we went back to CBR because DSis & I were going to go to Magic Kingdom tonight!
We wnt right to the bus stop to wait for a MK bus. It came pretty quickly. It was pretty empty...until we got to Barbados. A group of seriously like 20 people got on & they were all together! Half adults & half tween girls. But soon we were at Magic Kingdom for the second time today!

IMG_4461.jpg

IMG_4463.jpg

I've never taken a picture of this statue before:
IMG_4469.jpg

DSis & I went right over to Liberty Square because we wanted to see what time Tiana & Naveen would be out. We found out that they would be coming out at 7:00 & it was about 6:40 now! So we decided to wait.
IMG_4470.jpg

I think they came out a little early. The line really gets long to meet them, but we were towards the front so we didn't wait long. Here's the picture:
IMG_4476.jpg

Continued in the next post

After this DSis wanted to meet the princesses in Toontown since just DMom & I did earlier in the day. On the way were taking pictures individually in front of the castle when a nice woman offered to take a picture of DSis & I together:
IMG_4481.jpg

We were excited to be able to walk through the castle:
IMG_4484.jpg

Soon we were in Toontown, the princess line again was very short, just one group in front of us!
IMG_4487.jpg

DSis & Aurora:

Me & Aurora:

Me & Cinderella, she had thick southern accent!

and last, but not least, Belle!

DSis & Belle:
IMG_4497.jpg

After this we walked around Toontown, we were going to go in Minnie & Mickey's house, but they were really crowded, so we headed over to Frontierland.
I forgot to mention this before, but before we left MK this afternoon, we got two fastpasses for Big Thunder Mountain & two fastpasses for Splash Mountain to use tonight. So we decided to use the ones for Splash Mountain now. I haven't been on Splash Mountain in a few years & it is a lot more fun than I remembered it!
IMG_4502.jpg

We wanted to wait until it was dark before we went on Big Thunder Mountain, so we went on the Jungle Cruise next!
IMG_4504.jpg

Now, I took loads of pictures on this ride. None of them came out half way decent & I knew they weren't coming out good, but I kept taking them anyway hoping one would come out good, but they all came out looking like these :
IMG_4513.jpg

IMG_4517.jpg

After we got off of this, it was dark, so we headed over to BTMRR. I love riding this in the dark, it's lots of fun!
The light parade was about to start & my plan was to giddy on up and giddy on out before it ended, but DSis wanted a snack. I was kinda hungry too though, especially for a Brownie Sundae from Mrs. Potts' Cupboard!
IMG_4530.jpg

It was delicious!! So then we headed out of MK and no we didn't make it out before the parade ended & there were floods of people trying to find a spot for the fireworks. But we got out eventually and there was a bus waiting at the stop, and guess who was on it, the 20 people that got on the bus before at Barbados! And they weren't just on the bus, they were taking up the whole bus. In the back were the tween girls, making all sorts of noise. One girl decided she was going to lay down and take up four seats. Two girls across from her decided they wanted to relax, too and took up two seats each. And in the last row, the ones facing forward, there were just two girls taking up those five or so seats! It's not like the bus was empty either, there were many people standing, but did they decide to only take up ONE seat each? Nope. Oh well, I didn't mind standing & we were back at CBR quickly.
We got back to CBR and went to sleep because we were going to Animal Kingdom tomorrow!

Coming Up: Animal Kingdom!

It's always a pleasure reading and watch pictures about these places... Miss so much the Parks hope to come back in Florida very soon.

Thx for sharing :wizard:

:rotfl2::rotfl: I love The Sound of Music, -- you "sang" that really well!!

I would have asked those girls to move. What were the adults doing? :headache: I can't wait to read the rest of your trip report.

Day 2

I got the Pennette Chicken Alfredo. It was really good!

This does look good!

That Splash Mountain sign is one of my favorite attraction signs. It's so very detailed. I think that is going to be my next 'game' on the trip report - Guess That Sign! I'll take a picture of a small portion of a ride or attraction sign, and then pan out for the answer. :)

The adults were in the front of the bus. I don't really know what they were doing. :confused3
Thanks for reading!

and 'Guess that Sign' sounds like lots of fun! :goodvibes

The food at Wolfgang Puck looks delicious! Is that BLT and the Contemporary in the background of the picture of you and D Sis with the Lego Sea monster at DTD?

I'm caught up. Great updates. :)

Oh, and that mac and cheese looks delicious!

I think those are just regular hotels near DTD. :thumbsup2

Oh, and that mac and cheese looks delicious!
Thanks!
DSis ate it all plus what the rest of my family didn't eat of their meals.

Day 3: Animal Kingdom
So when I last wrote, we were going to sleep after a night at Magic Kingdom. We woke up the next morning and ate breakfast at Old Port Royale, I didn't take any pictures this morning because I got so many the morning before.
After we ate we caught a bus to Animal Kingdom, we wanted to get there close to opening time, but not rope drop. Well, we were there before 9 AM, but the park had already been open for a little bit, but I don't know where everyone was. It was empty!
IMG_4534.jpg

Near the tree of life there were some people.
IMG_4540.jpg

DSis & I headed over to Dinoland while DParents went to get fastpasses for the Safari.
IMG_4543.jpg

IMG_4546.jpg

We went straight to Primeaval Whirl, it was walk-on!
IMG_4548.jpg

We rode two times, we stayed on, too. we didn't have to walk up the queue again.
Some pictures from the ride:

After we got off, DParents were waiting for us in Dinoland.
As I was taking this picture, DMom was also taking a picture:

DParents had informed us that when they were walking to the Safari, they had encounters with a few characters:

IMG_4566.jpg

After we met up, we looked at the times guide and decided that DSis & I would go to the 10:00 Festival of the Lion King while DParents went on the trails that the have at AK & rode Kali River Rapids.
IMG_4567.jpg

This was the first time I DSis & I saw Festival of the Lion King & we loved it! It was very cool.
IMG_4572.jpg

We were in the giraffe section & this was the little girl who was going to demonstrate how to be a giraffe, she was so cute. :cutie:
IMG_4578.jpg

I took a bunch of pictures during the show, but I'll only post a few of them:
IMG_4583.jpg

IMG_4585.jpg

I loved the Tumble Monkeys!
IMG_4598.jpg

IMG_4620.jpg

IMG_4608.jpg

After the show was over we decided to go over to the Camp Minnie & Mickey greeting trails. We waited in line for Minnie, there were only a few people ahead of us. Right when we got up to the front, Minnie took a cheesecake break. The character handler was chatty though so he kept us occupied while Minnie was eating her cheesecake.
Finally I met Minnie!
IMG_4627.jpg

Then we went over to meet DParents near the safari.
On the way I took this picture:
IMG_4630.jpg

Continues in the next post

The safari wait was short because we had fast passes. We usually go on the Safari first thing so all the animals are out so we weren't sure if as many animals would be out at this time, but they were! we saw a lot of animals!
A sleeping Rhino:
IMG_4635.jpg

Another safari passing by:
IMG_4644.jpg

This giraffe was so close!
IMG_4651.jpg

And now my favorite part of this safari, the baby elephant with its mom! The baby is so cute.
IMG_4665.jpg

It was around 11:45 now, so we went over for some lunch. DDad and I went to Flame Tree BBQ, while DMom & DSis went to Yak & Yeti the Counter Service.
Flame Tree's eating area was nice, very shady:
IMG_4672.jpg

I got ribs with a side of beans, It was good!
IMG_4673.jpg

& DDad got a turkey sandwich:
IMG_4675.jpg

We both got Key Lime mousse for dessert. This was great, one of my favorite desserts:
IMG_4674.jpg

Flame Tree BBQ was a very good CS meal, but the birds in their seating area are super annoying. But maybe that is because I hate birds.
So that's all for now.

Coming Up: Flights of Wonder & Shopping

I don't like the birds at Flametree either!! They're not afraid of anything. Looks like you're having a nice day at AK so far - looking forward to the rest of the day!!:)
