Insert Yosemite Sam expletive here.

I had to remove "fro" from my regular spell check in Word, as it is technically a word. Don't have that option here. {Insert bubble bursting} :sad2:

Yep, as in "to and fro" (LOL I typo'd that just now as "to and for" and fixed it)

As for you Mr. Rash, you have my sympathy but be glad it's things you can fix with a trip to the hardware store and some calls to the billing department at the hospital. (And hopefully little Evan will mind his manners soon!) Try to put it all in perspective: Think of poor Toon and all the folks in New Orleans who had to evacuate and will be returning soon to who-knows-what. Go outside and yell LUGE as loud as you can, you'll feel much better.

Oh Rash, I hope things get better soon. Lack of sleep on top of all those things would make me a monster. I am sure that Evan does not hate you. My sweet niece cried/screamed for 3 and a half months almost continuously after she was born (an "overstimulated" premie is what they said). She is now the sweetest thing you've ever met. If you told her how miserable she made people in the beginning, I do not htink she would ever forgive herself. So, hang in there.

Can I chuckle about the extension cords, though? Sorry, I can just picture my father doing that.

BTW - I've never liked teh appropriate word for my statement, which would be well. Even very well still sounds like average to me. :confused3 Oh well....

In the spirit of nothing, please excuse me while I type this as fast as I can to try out my new IE spell check. Unfortunately, I cannot think of a work related reason for having the tool bar, so I will not likely be able to spell check most of my posts, but the ones from home will be golden. Unfortunately, it will also not likely prevent run on sentences.

Thank you fro your patience. Now on to the regularly scheduled nothing, which is currently the something called Katrina.

Wow! That works good!

Sooo Carrie, can you use that new toolbar for awhile and then tell me how you like it? I was all set to download it and my DH didn't want me to  He thinks it may hurt our 'puter!! I want it too :3dglasses :rolleyes1

Rash - hang in there hun! Evan is getting so much bigger and it won't be long now before he turns from a "every 2-3 hour need machine" into a baby you can spend hours entertaining (or who spends hours entertaining you!). The rest, well - I am sure you are one tired Dad and it isn't helping. I know I do really well at first with my babies, but once I go back to work I find myself growing more and more tired, less able to handle even the smallest things in life. Finally about their first birthday, it peaks and if I am successful and haven't killed hubby by then, it seems to all get better. :teeth: (so far I am 2 for 2 on the not killing hubby part!). We are thinking about you so hang in there. You can come and hide in the closet if it will help - we have ways of making you RELAX!!!! :earseek: (i.e. - we keep the fridge stocked just for you :drinking1 and I give a mean massage!)

Carrie, this is a tool bar you are using that has a spell checker built in? I might be interested in that. Let me know how it goes from home when you are actually using it! (the good thing is that most of us seem to speak Carriese, so its all good!)

Still no word from my friend (and obviously Toon). I am seeing that they are telling people to stay away until next Monday (I can't even imagine) but maybe he will find a way to check in with us before then! I sure hope he didn't live in Kenner where the water is at its worst. :guilty: Those poor people.

Spirit - I am usually the one saying "what did you put on the computer now?" to hubby lol but in this case, I might be willing to give it a try. When I am out on maternity leave, I am going to be using Gotomypc.com to be able to pick up things here at my office and just take them home to work (VERY cool program allowing me to hook up to my desktop here at work without having to do the set up myself, etc). I have to do things like pay payroll taxes, keep all our deposits up to day (which is at least 750 a month or so) and keep the bank accounts straight (122 at last count - so I quit counting lol) all of which someone else CAN do, but it buys me more time off and some atta girls too! So I might just need this spell checker at home and work :)

I planned a trip to WDW in December (4th - 9th) which was supposed to be my last week of maternity leave (well - maybe... ;) but it will be week 9 or something like that) and now, I really doubt she is going to stay put until my c-section at 39 weeks - so aren't they going to be surprised when I come back to work for a week or two and go on vacation. :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh well! Can't have my WDW Christmas time trip! no no! I really just HAVE to be back and on track for year end because that is when the big accounting/prop management program change happens....sooooooo - by crackie - I am going on that vacation even if I am only back at work a week or two!

ha!

*laying head on desk for a nap* all that posturing just drained me :earboy2:

At least it isn't Monday any more!

Oh - and no problems near my house, but apparently lots of tornados in Georgia last night. Good news, they are always pretty small paths of destruction. Bad news - if its your house, it isn't small. *hoping for the best for everyone who has been touched by this storm* :wizard:

Laura

Btw Rash - Tom (T. E. from the Timeshare Store) is offering your services at SSR for horseback rides since it seems to be missing from the theming :rotfl2: I think this might work out for the best for you if you can work the appropriate deal for your services!

How much do you think you could get for a ride? :teeth: :earboy2: ;)

Well gang, you know me, I couldn't help it I had to check in on Toon. I had his cell number from when we met this June. He and his family are safe, but it doesn't look good at this point for his house. He heard there was water up to the roof in his area. He will check in here if and when he can. He and his family are possibly headed to WDW since they can't go home yet and he figures once they do there won't be time for too much fun for quite some time. I'm glad everyone is safe, but I feel terrible that he and the rest of the Toon family have to deal with this. :sad1: :worried:

Mar - I am so glad you called him! (no cell phone towers or power or something for the people I am waiting to check in - but I keep trying)

Poor guy. I am sure he is feeling pretty helpless at the moment, but going to WDW sure sounds like a wonderful plan to me. It will give them something to do for a while and as you pointed out, it is probably going to be a mess for some time for them.

I am just glad to hear they are safe!!! Thanks for letting us know!

Lisa - WIll do. I will warn you that there is a special Google search feature that I would not install. It says it will relay what's on you rcomputer to Google. It will only install if you activate it, though. The other problem I have is that my mail is through SBC and they have their own browser. I need to go through IE to get the toolbar to work. :( So, when I link from e-mails it does not come up. I'll have to check on that.

Oh, poor Toon. That is not good. I can't imagine having to wait a week to see if you have a home to come nbnback too. I think it would even bee hard to fully enjoy WDW then. If you touch base with him again, tell him his familiy is in our thoughts. Nothing sadder than a sad Toon.

Just because I have got to not go into depresssion, Rash is giveing horsey rides at SSR? Now I really can't wait for my first trip home!

That's horrible for Toon. I'm truly sorry to hear that about his house. Certainly puts my trivial ranting in perspective. I just don't enjoy getting a reality check at someone elses expense. Hang in there, Toon.

As for the horseback rides, they'll be $350 for guys, free for the ladies.

Rash - Good to see you joking around again. Although it helps to put things in perspective, these things are still trying.

While its terrible news (and the not knowing EXACT DETAILS is the worst for Toon I am sure), it is certainly a relief just to hear that he and his family are ok.

(I feel guilty because my first thoughts yesterday - after worrying about people's lives - was that my dad will probably go there to work, missing the birth of my child and maybe my sister's child in January. He works for BellSouth and went to Florida for several months last year after the storms to work. It was mostly to get away from the pain of my mother's death, but I also know that he feels like he doesn't have wife and kids at home to take care of and his guys do so if they ask for people that want to go, I am sure he will. I feel rather petty at the moment for those thoughts, but I suppose we are only human and tend to remember only short term beyond the next tragedy. {that just doesn't sound good does it?})

Laura - That is very important in your life. It is understandable that you would be disappointed. When things are tough, we think first to how it will effect our loved ones. Plain and simple.

Hmmm... Better start saving for dh's horse ride. Now THAT will be a Kodak moment.

BTW, the $350 for guys is for a 2 minute, circular ride, and I cannot guarantee their safety. The free ride for the ladies is a slow 3 hour moonlit stroll, with a stop at a nearby secluded stable I own for refreshments and some getting-to-know-each-other time.

That's ok. He has life insurance! (Did I say that out loud?)

Methinks free isn't going to cut it. You should be paying us ladies if we take you up on this "ride". I take cash or DVC points. :p

Would you accept hay?

I don't need to stinking hay (actually...fresh hay smells so lovely to me, but sticking out of my hair.... dunno).

I actually am willing to take a pity ride where you are not required to pay me for my time :rolleyes1 , but I do expect the entire 3 hours as promised.

( :rotfl: :rotfl2: @ life insurance - Carrie - bad bad bad!!! lolol)

It doesn't much matter. You'll lose all sense of time and space anyway.

Oh great - you are just going to clonk me on the head and tie me up when you get me to the stables, steal my Disney Dollars and ride off into the sunset aren't you? :scared1:
