Nothing Thread

new baby..wicked ear infection...5YO who wants to play chutes and ladders ALL DAY...gabbing not on the list. Back to work tomorrow after a week off - needless to say, I'll have some catching up to do, not to mention the fact that August is always our busiest month (back to school, can't see the board, broke glasses, pencil through the eye, etc,). Thus, my posts will probably be limited to short, infrequent, scathingly humorous tidbits.

The lurking continues...

(BTW, he has fallen asleep on my chest a couple times - let the female melting commence. Then picture it with horses- melting stops).

aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :cloud9:

Even colts need the loving. What I can't imagine is a horse in a reclined position on his back *twisting head as I look and try to imagine* :earseek:

oh - and pencils in the eyes ick! The rest I can see and this is also when most glasses places have "sales" too, so I feel your pain. This will be me in Jaunary (minus pencils ick!)

Alright, alright, alive and well, though swamped. Just beginning to sink in I have three weeks before heading out of town for our DVC vacation. Yippee and yikes all-in-one. :earseek:  :earseek:

Thinking of Rash at my eye exam yesterday, Doc suggested reading glasses, though not a must at this point. Yeah, blessed with good eyesight while my poor brother always wore coke botttles.

Ice cream ,YUM! Oh that is my weakness. I could devour a pint or two right now and be happy as a sleeping colt.

Favorite flavors? Just about any, though partial to coffee or anything with chocolate and nuts (Moose Tracks Rocks) But a nice bowl of Bryers vanilla with Hershey syrup is an all-time fav.

Ummm -- I'm a Rocky Road kinda' gal, myself !!! Second favorite is Mint Chocolate Chip. :goodvibes

Rash: I'm w/lllovell on the reclining horse thing...just seems sick and wrong.:teeth: So sorry to hear about the ear infection, hope everything is on the mend.

I had my eyes examined yesterday too. The 1st time since my LASIK surgery 3 years ago when my vision was 20/crappy. 3 years later and it's still 20/15 :cool1:

My Dr. relocated from Wilmington, so I wonder if Rash chased them out of town....

Bye Tooneric! Have fun and be safe!!! We will want a good trip report :) (those of us that are living vicariously right now :teeth: )

Ice cream....favorite flavor...hmmm - you know - I don't think I have ever met an ice cream I didn't love lol but my all time favorites are swiss chocolate almond and butter pecan....hey look - I am kinda nutty :teeth:

Wow Cruise! That is wonderful that your eyes are doing so well! Hubby has a coke bottle script and we were about to look into correction when *poof* job vanished. So, maybe next year (he doesn't know it, but I am putting a bit aside each month so it will be a surprise :) ). Contacts seem to work great for now thank goodness! Eye doctors rock <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm414YYUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_27.gif' alt='Head Banger' border=0></a> (not that I am sucking up to our resident horse or nothing  hehe )

 Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone! (nuts - trash day and did I put out the trashcan...ggrrr of course not :earboy2: )

oooooooooooo - they deleted the Sorrento thread...the one about the family and their bazillion dollar budget, etc....

I can see locking a thread, but deleteing it completely? Makes me wonder why (lord I am getting SO nosy!)

:maleficen

Ahhhh to be in DL.

I picked up a DVD burner last week to transfer the VCR tapes over and last night made it to a tape that had our visit to DL ('96) It was my first Disney trip ever and DD was almost 2. We spent just a few days there than off to San Diego to be with friends, do Sea World, the zoo, etc.

DL was beautiful. It was mid-May and we had the park to ourselves. Seriously, we look at these videos and there's nobody there.

I forgot they have the Alice in Wonderland ride as well. What a hoot! Anyway, spent two great hours re-living this trip to DL late last night, watching a precious 2-yr-old hug Mickey, Eyeore, etc. We had forgotten when Tigger took her hand and walked off with her to get a balloon. Another great scene was with Capt Hook, who scared the pants off her. They have changed his costume since. Back then he had a mean scowl and 5 o'clock shadow. And of course Toon Town! Way cool!

Today we're dreaming of how to get back there. Good luck Toon

One of our favorite memories of DL was also when DD was about two...Chip 'N' Dale stole her stroller and she spent about fifteen minutes following them around Main Street trying to get it back. It was so cute as it was a tag-team effort -- one would have it, and then hand it back to the other. DD was giggling the whole time!:goodvibes

Another thing that always used to happen to us @ DL is that visitors from the Orient would ask to take pictures of our DD as she has a really beautiful shade of red hair (more auburn). I guess that must be unusual to them as they acted like she was one of the characters. We usually found it flattering but there was one occasion where two teenage girls actually picked her up without asking and walked over to have their picture taken with a character and DD...that was a bit unnerving!

Yikes! This is just 2 spot away from leaving the firs t page. Missed you all! Had a play day Tuesday with friends from college and their offspring! Yesterday, I was in teh coporate dungeon and unable to DIS! I see you were having fun without me!

lllovell - I am truley sorry you had to have ice cream in the closet all by your lonsome. Forgive me? :flower:

FYI - SOF, my seminar in Costa Mesa is offically off. No DL for my B-day. :(

Roll Call!

Toon's visiting his roots

Rash is bonding with young colt

One of our Coasters is MIA

lllovell's eating ice cream all alone in the closet

wtpclc's been playing responsible adult and working hard

Mar :confused3

calypso's relivin fond memories of theiving chipmunks

Tony's checking the future's market for DVC points - Toot Toot!

Dr. Tomorrow :confused3

AND I'M STILL WAITING FOR PART 2 OF TONY"S MAY TRIP REPORT! :bored:

I believe I told Tony several times that if he came back, he didn't even have to finish his trip report. Remember how much we missed him? We forget so easily....

I was thinking about Dr. T again today. :(

Are SOF and Mar off in DL together???

I think its Toon that is with SOF!

and don't you worry Carrie - I can eat ice cream alone or in pairs...I can eat it on a train, I can eat it on a plane :teeth:

I have stinky hair....got a perm this morning - but it looks purdy! One less thing to mess with once PJ gets here :)

hahaha - *running back to the closet for more ice cream*

:rotfl: you guys and gals are so good to me :cloud9:

Can you eat in in a boat? In the middle of a moat? ;)

Perms are great for ease in teh morning. The ony trouble is finding 3 hours to get them done. I thought you couldn't so those things while pg. Glad you're happy with it. Bad perms are just bad!

You can do them after the 1st trimester, but there is a chance they wont take. Trust me, when she let out that first perm rod and my hair had curled, we were all relieved! lol

I have hair a good ways down my back, so it took 1.5 hours just to roll :earseek:

(my bosses think I was at the doctor...I didn't say that - but they have all assumed it :rolleyes1 you would think the straight to curly hair would tip them off - but so far no lol...ok ok - so I fessed up after the 3rd "everything ok at the doctor" question. :teeth: )

:rotfl2: Being pregnant, it's harder to go with the female stuff line....

I will get to work. I will be responsible to day. No closet time for me. Must get things done.
