Happy Belated BDay to llovell and Coloradobelle from me. I've been sulking the past couple of days. Been having really bad eye allergies and the doctor had to prescribe prednisone eyedrops to get in under control. =(

Hey Lefty, sorry about you're eyes. Maybe you picked up a Rash here. :magnify:

Do you do DL often? As I mentioned we'll be there in a couple of weeks, but only for 2 1/2 days. Any words of wisdom? I expect it will be crowded.

You'll have a great time Toon, just plan on lots of downtime as you will probably be standing in a lot of long lines and will need a break during the day. Have you ever been to DL before? If not, make sure you do some searching on the DL forum as there's tons of useful info. such as which FastPass machines are not linked (so you can get more than one FP at a time) and how the crowds have been lately.

We went back in April and had a great time. Be sure and ride Space Mountain twice (once for me as it wasn't opened yet when I went!). Oh, and be sure and head over to the shop called Pooh's Corner in Critter Country for a yummy treat...they have huge cookies, brownies, caramel apples, and Tigger Tails!!!

.
How ironic, being that I'm an eye doc.

Dr. Rash -- I may need your help, it seems I've been seeing double ever since we purchased a new truck on Monday. Is it safe to use Yuengling as an eyewash? Also, if steak works on black eyes, will Liverwurst help with sticker "eye" shock? I figure you must be good at your profession as I've never seen a horse wearing glasses. :teeth:

I think I got too into the whole Rash campaign. ;)

Right now, by far, the two most popular fastpass attractions are Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. I'd try to do those first thing. Maybe one day grab a fastpass for Space first thing in the AM and then go wait in line for Buzz Lightyear... The next day, do the same thing for Splash and wait in line for Indy.

Or, depending on what ages your kids are, instead of waiting in line for Buzz / Indy, go hit the Fantasyland rides.

I much prefer the coutner service places over at DCA to DL. Also, Whitewater Snacks at the Grand Californian, is an air conditioned oasis in the midst of crowds and insanity. Good food and good prices too.

Also, you want to be in the hub for the fireworks. Make sure you can get a decent view of the matterhorn and the castle. Tink's new flight path is amazing.

And don't forget about cute little puppies.

I've only been there once, so not an expert. But DLC was my first trip ever to a Disney park with my then 2yr-old DD. Being my first trip and the spouses 4th or 5th I was significantly impressed and caught the Disney fever by lunchtime on the first day.

Anyway, the one ride I found most incredible was Indiana Jones. When I finally made it to WDW a year later I was shocked to learn it was only in DLC. This is an awesome ride that, to this day, is my favorite Disney ride. I vowed to make the trip again just to do Indy. Years later I was in LA on business and had an extra day so I rushed down to just ride Indy again. Well, it was opening week for California and I opted to go there instead. Had a great time, did Soarin' and the amazing ferris wheel among other things.

Just my 1 cent, but since Splash and Space are in WDW, I'd hustle over to Indy at the start and get a fast pass for a return ride later in the day.

The exterior of Small World is a special sight and Toon Town, with Roger Rabbit Ride is lots of fun.

HEY WAIT ONE MINUTE! TOON TOWN! HOLY COW! NOW I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON HERE. YOU'RE REALLY GOING HOME THIS TIME! :cool1: (And a chance to see Jessica up close :worship: !!)

Plus I think I read somewhere DLC serves a mean Liverwurst Leg. Enjoy Toon!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Sadly for me, I think Jessica's legs go up to my nose. Dang those tall, beautiful, curvaceous, sexy toon chicks! I don't stand a chance!

Left - I am sorry to hear about your eye troubles. Hope it all clears up soon! Thanks for the b'day wishes - I made it a birthday week at Tooneric's recomendation and so far, I am really liking this idea. :cool1:

Coloradobelle - I am with you girlie! It IS all going to be good (just found out today that youngest son is allergic to dust mytes {who isn't}, cats and dogs - but I am going to think about that tomorrow...after all - it is another day and I can't bear to think of parting ways with more of my furry babies right now! :sad1: I will figure out something - and hardwood floors here we come! woohoo <---positive side :) ). Enough with the negative already! :bounce: LIfe is too short - gonna make it good :earsgirl:

(I am griping WAY too much lately....hate that whiney online person that never seems to have good things in life come their way... :scared1: that CAN'T be me!!! lol)

Mar - I was wondering it Liverwurst came with a coupon for angioplasty on the back of the label

BTW - I am wanting personal tours from Calapyso, TW1 and Left Coaster when we finally make it to DL!!! I went once, as a 4 year old. Remember Its a Small World (who can forget that song? ), my sisters and I got chalk portraits done (can't wait to get my kids done and hang them all together) and the TeaCups! I definately need to go back for a "refresher"!

Thanks for the DL advice!

If I don't return immediately to this thread after my trip, it's probably due to one of the following:

1. Eye problems of my own. I'll be trying to screw them back in after seeing Jessica in person. :earseek:

2. Too busy taking care of the puppy given to DD by Left Coaster.

3. Finally landed my dream job as Bad Poet of Toon Town.

4. So used to MK that I can't find the exit at DL.

If you go to the rumors and stories behind DL board, you will find that it is rumored (#287 to be exact) that this was done intentionally by Walt. It keeps people in the park spending money and also if its good for a few hours, why not get people lost in Fantasyland for a few days!

But, be careful and make sure you are looking at the DL rumor list, not the WDW rumor list where #287 is the Monorail DVC Contemporary location. ;)

Hey, I think you're onto something there! If I RX Yuengling as an eye wash, I can write-off the cost as a business expense! Plus, since it won't work and will likely harm the patient, they are guaranteed to return for more care - cha-ching!

And yes - liverwurst does help with Sticker Eye Shock (SES). Just smear copious amounts of liverwurst over the sticker price and voila - no more shock! The bill's in the mail.

MJT - I love your cat. Its beautiful!

Morning everyone! TGIF (except for you Rash - TGIAF for you ;) )

I am all alone tonight and MOM IS THRILLED! The boys are gone (including hubby) with my dad overnight and I can't wait to get home and DO NOTHING! If I actually get tired of doing nothing, I am sure there is housework or something equally as nasty that will call my name, but I just can't image me getting tired of doing NOTHING until late Sat night. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I might even go *gasp* and see *oh my* a movie alone tonight  You know, one of those R rated ones. :scared1: Will I ever survive it?!?!?!

hehehe

While llovell's home enjoying a peaceful house, we're hosting DD's 11th birthday party/sleepover :scared1:

8 girls sleeping over on the hottest day of the summer in an un-airconditioned house. Yeah this sounds like fun.

Thank goodness I stocked up on Yuengling and liverwurst last night. Now if I could only remember where I put the tylenol.

Any suggestions?

Is there room in the closet still?

As RASH's personal Physician, I suggest grinding the Tylenol into a fine powder, and dusting your LIVERWURST sandwich with the dust. Take two Yuenglings and call me in the morning!

Feel Better, P.S. is the web camera you were talking about in the actic set up yet?

JUST KIDDING FOLKS!
