Aww...:sad1:

Ah well.
Lets just figure out the sword prize for today then :)

What a shame. They should have bunny ears or lilies for decorating at least.

Here's my theroy, probably wrong, but listen anyways:
I think vmk celebrates all non religous holiday (inless christmas and all the other winter holidays, i will explain that later). They probalby celebrate chirstmas because there are other holidays around that time and people won't feel left out. Two years ago they had the star of mickey pin, for jewish people.
They can celebrate halloween because a lot of people celebrate it, regardless of what religion
So, if that is just my idea..

But they could have done something Egg or Bunny related? It's not like their creating a little Rock that rolls when you double-click. :rotfl2:

I was really looking forward to having something for Easter too. I'm still thankful for Fin's nice and easy quests though:)

purplehusky, the only problem with the theory, although it is a good one, is that even halloween is a religious holiday for some people. Personally, we do not celebrate halloween because of our beliefs. If VMK can celebrate halloween with a month-long celebration, they should be able to do something for Easter. Maybe they will next year.

Well, Christmas and Halloween have become very secular holidays. People who are not Christian do celebrate Christmas and there hasn't really been anything religious about Halloween for a hundred years.

Even though there have been those that created the Easter Bunny to make money off of Easter, it's still a very religious holiday. It is the most holy day on the Christian calendar and many Christians that don't even go to church on Christmas go on Easter.

Therefore, I will never be surprised if they don't do anything for Easter.

But, some pretty pastel pink, green, yellow or blue ears would be great!:cloud9:

Jeez, what does VMK have against Easter? :sad2: Personally I was hoping for some bunny ears or something...or even an Easter pin! If they can celebrate the more secular aspects of Christmas and Halloween, why can't we have bunnies and eggs for Easter!!

I was hoping for a Easter pin myself. Pastel with eggs, bunnys, flowers, etc. But I understand that it's probably too religious for them even if they only followed the spring/"birds and the bees" motif.

Ah well. Maybe next year...

If I had to bet, I would bet that with the new release, they couldn't add anything more safely. The new Fantasyland rides are a lot of coding work, and a lot of testing work, and a lot of loading work, etc. Add some bunny ears and what not, and you have a recipe for disaster.

Maybe next year they won't have a big build going on, and they can release something bunny-related. I think pastel colored Mickey-bunny ears would be awesome.

VMK, for planning purposes, Easter next year is March 23, 2008!

Well at WDW they have an easter parade. And I am sorry the easter bunny has nothing to do with the religous easter. It was the running joke on CNN yesterday

"how did we get this (chocolate Easter bunny) with this (The Cross and lilies)"

not one Christian or minister could answer it. So the Easter bunny is definately not religous. And if he is let me know I really do want to know.

Next did they know the St. Patricks day is an Irish Catholic Holiday.

I thing to celebrate by an egg hunt is very secular. I think we did a egg hunt last year via gems.

Now they have been extremely beusy getting fantasyland ruining and all the neat stuff they have been creating so I think it really came down to time.

Which people they are only human. And does anyone else need a Santa hat say in light blue or yellow was a Easter hat :lmao:

So though I missed not having something special I say thank you for all your hard work. I am really enjoying the new rides but I have only gotten one pin and it was no go. Not strong enough. :(

...I am sorry the easter bunny has nothing to do with the religous easter.
Here is some interesting Easter Lore. I'll have to try that last paragraph's suggestion on peeling eggs. Heh.

Yeah, I half expected a pastel blue and/or pink (boys/girls only?) "Easter" (Santa) Hat... lol I'd love to see that runny gag continue...

My theory is this.. Easter has become very commercialized with bunnies, chickens, eggs, etc. Easter is THE most important event in Christian faith. I think that VMK didn't want to offend anyone by almost "mocking" their most important holiday with the commericalized Easter elements. They even had a story on the news on Easter about how people wanted the Easter Bunny to be called Peter Rabbit instead or some garbage like that.. I don't understand why it's so difficult to be tolerant of other religions, but whatever, that's a different debate all together.

Any how, in a way we did get some Easter things.. all the flowers and stuff from Alice in Wonderland that we'll soon get have lots to do with Spring.. i may be grasping at straws, but in a way, SPRING was acknowledged.

Btw, with my theroy, I wasn't saying how I thought, I was saying how vmk might think. I think it would be awesome if they had easter mickey ears. Cracked, like eggs.
LOL, or even purpleish christmas ears.. HAHA
