that weekend is the weekend of the Disney Marathon for Leukemia, where there are THOUSANDS of people doing a 26 mile race through disney. I have a couple of family members that are doing that race, and I will be up there to cheer them on.

they are also doing a health fair over at coronado's convention center. so i am sure that many of the vendors who are going to be there have also reserved elsewhere once coronado filled up.

just keep trying... i would grab a ressie at one of the resorts now - so that at least you have something. and then keep calling back to see if anything else has opened up. then you can transfer your ressie over to the new resort.

I'm trying to get those dates...I'm signed up to walk the 1/2 marathon...and it's a general marathon...not just for leukemia...lots of organizations participate (Cure for Stroke, American Heart Assocation etc.)...not that you care what the marathon is for!

I just called this am for the 6-13...I was able to get Boardwalk at discount but I have a fear of clowns and that slide just freaks me out...but I have called everyday since the rates came out and nothing popped up...so now things are starting to open up...remember folks can hold a ressie for 2 weeks so within the next two weeks you should be able to find some openings!

Let us know what you find! I'm looking for GF or CR...just and FYI the big slide at Beach Club/Yacht Club will be closed the month of Jan/Feb if that is a concern. HTH!

It is a regular marathon--but on the app--you could donate to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.

I think it is 18,000 runners/walkers/wheelchairs.

Busy busy weekend.

We are staying at All Star Movies on the 7th and POFQ on the 8th and 9th (I'm running for the Leukemia Lympoma Society's Team in Training).

Stick to Disney transportation on the morning of the 9th though--some roads will be blocked. At least this is what we were told when trying to coordinate where our families will view the race.

Keep trying though--LLS blocked rooms based on those who signed up to participate since August--Oct 28th is our recommittment deadline--so I am sure at some point in within a week or 2 after that--they will know for sure if they require their entire room block or not. Not sure on the deadlines for the many other organizations that are running to raise money.
