Nothing About Poly Island Tower At D23?

What is Epic Games?
They released One Must Fall: 2097, the greatest video game ever made.

Also later they created an incredibly powerful platform with which to build video games (“Unreal Engine”) that they then licensed to other companies. Disney uses it for their interactive video game attractions such as Smugglers Run, and it’s also as noted above used as a shortcut to animate scenes in movies and shows.

They used UE4 (maybe UE5 now) for tv/movie production too, that huge video wall they used for the Mandolorian used UE to power it.

Anyone know how the cash bookings are going? Like, are dates sold out other than opening day or christmas/new years?

Disney seems to be requiring multiple night stays for some rooms.
  • Dec 17-18 - deluxe studio theme park, all duos, and all 2BR penthouse show booked.
  • Dec 18-19 - duo theme park, 2BR theme park, and all 2BR penthouse show booked.
  • Dec 19-20 - duo theme park, 2BR theme park, and all 2BR penthouse show booked.
Here is why I think Disney is requiring multiple nights for some rooms.
  • Dec 17-20 - duo preferred, duo theme park, 2BR theme park. and all 2BR penthouse show booked. Notice the duo standard, deluxe studio theme park, 2BR standard view, 2BR preferred view are available.
This is different than a month or so ago. Either Disney is deciding to make more things available or people have been cancelling reservations. My personal guess is people have been cancelling. These rooms are generally not being available for the "Save on Rooms This Fall and Holiday Season" promotion. To the point, some on FB have been pointing out they can get Poly club level rooms for near these prices. People absolutely rave about Poly concierge food/beverage/staff.

The minimum stay is a fairly common Disney practice. Very frequently there’s a 2 night minimum online.

99% of the time you can get 1 night by calling (they have better inventory on the phone)

Wow amazing information, Thanks!

They don’t need to wait until October to release more information about the new restaurants and amenities so I’m hoping we get at least that in the VERY near future. This week or next.

I had a nice talk with a Guide at the DVC booth while looking at the new Tower pictures. I asked about points charts, she said no idea. I said well they declared the rooms so that would be the next step, she said she didn’t know anything about that. She said honestly, they don’t hear anything until it’s announced. Hmmm….

I was disappointed about how the parks panel was at Honda with outrageous prices. I’ve attended D23 since 2011 and never missed the parks panel. My friend and I watched it on YouTube from our hotel room. I guess with the high prices, they had to turn it into an entertainment event. We were like come on, let’s get to the good part. The highlight was the Monsters roller coaster announcement, my friend is a big Monsters fan and danced around the room! I don’t think most of the people in that arena cared about DVC, so I didn’t expect any announcement.

This is true. DVC needs to control the information it puts out. Due to strict FL timeshare laws anything said by a DVC representative (not just the Guides themselves) that turns out not to be accurate is not allowed. So DVC adopted a policy of not disseminating info until it's official. CM's are not allowed to speculate when talking to the public.
