HHN is closed and the wait just to pay for valet is a good hour, with probably another for the car to arrive. Here are some notes while waiting.

Was here for media event which was basically a RIP tour. Saw all houses plus Bill & Ted. B and T is much improved this year from last. It's Star Trek heavy and there is an MJ tribute plus lots of Twilight and gratuitous dancing. The plot ties loosely into the HHN theme.

Best house was Chucky hands down. Chucky with a machine gun rocks!

Second best was Saw. It's very set based and captures the movie atmosphere nicely.

Spawning has potential, even if only for the disorientation potential.

Soundstages were good....very detailed...but none stood out as a huge wow.

Leave it to Cleaver was disapointing because I was expecting something like Psychoscarapy.

I won't judge Silver Screams yet because it seemed to have potential but just seemed off. The facade is awesome.

We managed to do an extra Chucky and Saw.

We're going to Busch tomorrow so back to HHN next Thurs.

I went to HOS at Busch Gardens last night...I am a big chicken but last night nothing really scared me. I thought the scares zones were very small and nothing really happened. I was only able to go in one house DED sorority and it was more funny then scary (I was in a wheelchair so getting around was a little tough). I am curious to see how the other houses were...could you post or send me a pm when you return? Also, the beginning of the night was empty! We did the fright feast so we got in early but the park stayed empty until about 10pm and then it got packed. It was hard getting around everyone in the chair so I bought my jello shot and my teddy scare and left. I am hoping to go to HHN next weekend, I figured this weekend would be a warm up for me :thumbsup2

I'll be doing a review on Howloscream...probably tomorrow...so I'll be sure to let you know. I'll definitely be doing a comparison to HHN. We're going to try to get there early enough to stay in the park. We have an express pass but it sounds like we won't need it till late. This is our first HoS so I can't wait to compare the two!

Thanks for that :thumbsup2 Liking the sound of Bill and Ted this year.

Looking forward to your review of HoS :surfweb::surfweb:

I'll be doing that later this week, but a few quick notes:

I have never seen so many young kids at HHN as I saw at HoS. I had no clue what the parents were thinking, since it is just as intense as HHN. One thing that was the same as HHN was the prevalance of smoking everywhere including the lines, as my still-running nose can attest.

HoS was as good as HHN but in a different way. The only way I can kind of describe it is to say that HHN is very set-piece detailed while HoS reminded me of the professional houses they do (or used to do when I lived there) in the Chicago area at various locations.

I thought walking HHN was bad, but HoS was killer on my footsies...that park is freakin' huge!

At HHN the scareactors seem to go for the females, but in several HoS houses they were all over DH too. I've never seen him jump so much in a haunted house.

Just some random thoughts before the report!
