Notary public?

This may be a really dumb question but I'm a newbie at cruising. With the cruise documents, there is one form for my minor daughter that has a spot for a notary public - do I actually have to sign this in front of one? (Everything, and I mean everything was arranged for us by Make-A-Wish).

Thanks for a quick response - we're leaving tomorrow for Jan 4 sailing.

I'd suggest you call DCL first thing Monday morning and ask. Most banks have someone who can notorize documents.

If you need to get the paper notarized, you need to sign it in front of the notary republic. Your bank should have one (need it for loan papers, etc.) or Mail Boxes Etc. have them for a small fee.

Not sure if your docs are different since your trip was arranged by Make a Wish, but if they are the same as mine, then the form with the spot for notarization is only to be completed for minors under age 18 traveling without their parent or legal guardian. Are you going with her? If so, no need to even fill out that form.

is your local school. In the business office there is usually someone who can notarize documents. And our local school doesn't charge a fee!

That form to be notarized is only if Dani is not your child. But we all know she is and can't wait to meet you all. I need to get that form signed and notarized for my sister that is now going with us. Just so they don't think that I am kidnapping her and taking her out of the country.
