So, I took advantage of the recent Orbitz/Ebates WDWtickets deal, thanks to all the great DISers on here. We don't have any dates set yet, looking for January 2015 probably. But, that's besides the point. I bought four adult 3 day get 2 days free park hoppers and one child's 3 day get 2 days free park hopper. I took everyone's advice and was able to link them to my new My Disney Experience account (thanks again DISers). I don't have any friends or family linked up to my account yet. When I look at the tickets on MDE, it shows five separate tickets, assigned to me only but I don't see any differentiation between the four adult tickets and the child's ticket I bought. They ALL just say "5 day Magic Your Way with park hopper option". They don't say adult or child on any of them.

My point is, do you think this is a little loophole that hasn't been noticed yet where you could purchase the cheaper children's tickets and then assign them to an adult? I'm not looking to do this as we will have four adults (myself, wife, two grandmas) and one child( our son), but I was looking to which ticket to assign my son and all the tickets look the same. I could see this as a loophole some could take advantage of!!!!

Your thoughts?

Brian

when I assigned my tickets on MDE it actually states under each ticket's info age: 10 and older or age :3to9 So I don't think there is a loophole :surfweb:

My thoughts? I don't even know why you would post it unless you were trying to take advantage of a loop hole or encourage others to do so. The whole thing is very shady.

No it is not a loophole!! They are assigned but you can't see the assigned age until you link them to a person in your MDE account. I linked the 3-9 ticket to me because I couldn't see it until I linked. I called technology and they switched it no problem! Definitely not a loophole though!!

My thoughts? You're looking for zebras on the plains of Montana instead of horses. The OP asked a valid questions. He already bought his tickets. It doesn't sound like he's trying to pull a fast one. He just wants to know how to tell which one is the child's ticket.

OP, all of my tickets show "10 and older" but I did have to wait several days for an older pass to show anything other than "MYW Pass" after it was first linked. It was a partially-used 10-day no-expiry hopper that belongs to my husband. It now has the full information showing, including the number of remaining park days.

I had exactly the same experience. It took a day for the age limitations on the ticket to show up. Initially there was no way of knowing it was for 10 and up or not.

Sorry friend, I certainly am not trying to or going to take advantage of the system. As I said, I have already bought four ADULT tickets and ONE CHILD'S ticket to correspond with the anticipated group I plan to travel with. Also, as I said, as of now, which may change in a couple of days as others have responded with, my tickets on MDE show no differentiation in the five tickets I bought. So, I don't know which ticket to assign to my son, the child, or which tickets to assign to myself, my wife, my mother and my mother-in-law. I will wait a couple of days to see if they switch to show differently.

The point in me calling it a possible loophole was to warn of this possible flaw in this situation where it could be taken advantage of. But thanks for quickly thinking the worst of somebody asking a question about something.

If you use MDE on the computer rather than the app it shows the different ticket types.
