I'd be lying if I said I was remotely packed and prepared. Michael says I am going to lose my DIS card for being so disorganized. I told him I know people and it's not that easy. ​

I think you two should enjoy a night of a wonderful dinner, but Dallas did say that it was going to be a fairly dry cold storm. It won't come in over the water so it won't pick up a lot of water. There may be only scattered showers Thursday and Friday.

Good old Dallas. Nice blast from the past. Dallas Raines right? That's funny! Scattered is good. I didn't see anything about Friday but I've got my poncho packed. I have no ego. I will wear whatever to stay dry and comfortable.

I'm liking the Napa idea too. Do they care if we share? We like to share an app, a salad, en entree, and dessert. Do you have a *usual* you order?​

I hope it works out that way, but it will be cold for So Cal. The highs have been in the 70s maybe, inland they are lower. Anaheim might be lower. Make them bring cold weather clothes, they have them. There is no need to buy new sweatshirts and other stuff because they don't think they need them!

I agree that it'll be cold too. I am packing an extra (read hidden) bag with colder weather stuff. Cold is cold no matter where we are. Sure 40* here feels okay but it's still cold. They're bonkers.​

Thanks! I spoke with her this morning and she says she's feeling better; she's at work today. I can cancel my hotel up until 6 pm tomorrow so I am going to wait and see how she feels after a long day of working.

I'm totally hyper focused on a hotel for 12/18. My friend can get the Hilton Doubletree for $39! But I have no clue what that hotel is like?

DVC has ruined me. ​

It is really close! The house is great! We are thrilled to be home. If I ever get everything done I will be thrilled. My decals still aren't up in my bathroom. I plan on corralling my son and having him help me. The girls are the only one that have their stuff together. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day. I seem to always be cleaning. Sigh. But I am a happy camper!


That's a great price! I am guessing that it is similar to the Staybridge Suites. That is the hotel they had us in for a month. It isn't bad, they had a kitchenette that had granite counters, and limited things to use. They aren't bad but they aren't DVC by a long shot.

They don't care what you order. We split an entree all the time and they split it on two plates for us. You MUST get the smiling tiger. I think they call it a salad. There's spicy beef on the plate topped with greens and tempura lobster chunks. Spectacular! The mushroom bisque is a signature item. Fran loves that. The menu changes seasonally so only a few things are always on the menu.

We made it. I'll come back to reply. We couldn't help but drive by tonight on the way to my friend's house. We saw the GCH and some of DCA on our drive by. This was the only picture I took.

The drive was fantastic! We made it from SLC to Anaheim in 10 hours. Kids were great. No traffic. We got our favorite local cheap pizza tonight- Shakey's then came to Shannon's and chilled.

M and the kids are crashed out already.

So excited for DCA, the GCV, and a little Napa Rose tomorrow. Even with the 50% chance of rain. Damn you Dallas Raines!​

Welcome to Southern Cal! Glad you made it safe and I completely understand the Dis drive-by. Just a glimpse to anticipate what's to come is a great feeling!

Enjoy your Napa Rose dinner tomorrow night. I love their mushroom soup but when I started sneaking food off my hubby's plate I found that the pizzetta with prosciutto, grapes and caramelized onion was absolutely delicious!

I watched this wonderful show on the food network the other night where they were making candy canes and Christmas candy at DL. It was SO cool. Then dinner was at Napa Rose and it looked fabulous. I told Denny - we are eating THERE!

Just checking in friends. It's been a whirlwind trip; wonderful but wow, we've been busy. There is just no way to see everyone and do everything we want in 4 days.

Joshua isn't feeling great so we stayed in tonight and just chilled. He's been asleep for hours and i hope he's feeling better soon.

i have a ton of photos to share and will hopefully get to that as soon as we get home.

Disneyland and DCA were wonderful and beautiful and bright.

Had fun meeting up with A&F but we didn't get a pic. We were pretty chatty and a pic slipped my brain.​
