I don't want to be there Thanksgiving or the week of Christmas, but otherwise I told them I was flexible for anytime in Nov or Dec. Every time I've called I've been told the exact same thing. This is a pin code and if you didn't receive a postcard or an Email for it, you don't qualify. I've been asked several times where I got the three letter codes and have told the CM either someone told me about them or I read about them on the internet. They have supposedly checked my profile and say I don't have a pin attached to it, so again can't use the codes I give them. I've also been told that anyone who does try to use one of these codes that doesn't have the pin attached to their profile will not have it honored. If I could just get a CM to book it at 40% off I'd take my chances and be willing to pay rack rate at check in, if I had to. Then again I have an AP and if an AP code was to come out I'd probably go with it instead (even if the discount is less) in order to be on the safe side.
I am happy for everyone that was able to book using the 40% code, but also wonder if with all the rooms that were booked using it, if maybe Disney may decide to not offer AP rates now? One of the CMs I spoke with said that she thought AP rates would be out in mid Feb for my early May trip, but then said she didn't know if Disney would need to offer any AP discounts for the rest of the year with all the other discounts they were offering. I don't believe an AP discount could beat the 40% off deal anyway. I have a feeling there might be alot of very unhappy AP holders come this fall and winter. I know, I for one am debating on renewing my AP or not.
