Not to be a stick in the mud, but...

Don't be this :eeyore: ! Be this :tigger: !

But if I don't get one of those golden FastPasses, life won't be worth living. I bet it can even stop my hair loss. :thumbsup2

OMG... I literally spit ice water on my keyboard laughing at that!
All I could hear in my head is "Veruca Salt" from Willy Wonka whining "I want a golden fastpass. I want it NOW!" and then you threw in the hair loss thing... oh my too funny! Thanks for the giggle! :rotfl2:

uhmm... okay I am making myself puke with the marysunshine act...
heheh, but I get that way because I travel with a pack of Grumpy's.

Just on a side note...travelling with a pack of Grumpys isnt always a bad thing

Disney would be wise to instruct their CM's on one thing - choose people of all walks of life and in every possible type of family unit.

That is, pick the families with kids, pick the senior citizens, pick the solo tourist, pick the teenagers, pick 20-somethings without kids. Don't just choose the typical MamaPapaBrotherSister family.

It won't make everybody happy, but it will cut down on at least one type of complaint that could be raised.

I'm not all that excited. It's nice but I'm certainly not going to take a trip to Disney I otherwise wouldn't. And I don't think most other people would either.
It's certainly not as big as the free dining and I am certainly more excited about it.

A lot of it is just promoting things they already do. They already pick someone to open the park. They already pick a family to be grand marshalls. They already give fastpasses away that are good on any ride once. I think they'll continue to do that.

I doubt the CM's will be given all that much discretion in giving out the big things like golden fastpasses or Cindy's castle. I think it would be more in the form of something like the 10th person after 10 am through station 2 at MK is the winner. Something like that.

Personally, I don't like this promotion because I am not fond of change, especially I will be down there in the middle of it and unsure what to expect. I hope that this will not attract people who are just trying to get something free and EXPECT to get something out of this. I do not want to hear a lot of people whining about how they didnt get anything but someone else did. I love watching magical moments for others, especially little kids, but I don't want this to turn into a big whine fest. And I am afraid that for some it will.

I think this new promotion is GREAT! I think it's very EXCITING! :cool1:

I can't wait for it to get started and to also start hearing reports from some winners about how it was! I choose to look at the bright side of this fun promotion!

I can't believe all the downers and worriers around here!

I have to admit I felt the same was as the OP when I first heard about it. Mine was COMPLETLY selfish...I was hoping for some awesome package deals for January.

Yes it would be totally awesome to be picked at randsom for something but I am not going to be disappointed if nothing happens to my family. I would love to witness someone getting some pixie dust sprinkled on them :cool1:

Needless to say I am still bummed it wasn't some cool prom thing for discounts or packages for 2007.
