I am not posting this to elicit sympathy, honest. Just to share my joy. I am thrilled to report that my son is still with me and that in my opinion, is the best gift of all! I lost my oldest son to cancer 10 yrs ago, and my other son has a progressive condition and according to medical "experts" should not have made it through his teens. Well he is 34 and although he has several physical problems, like heart failure which means he is on oxygen 24/7, he is still here with me. For that I am eternally grateful.

I agree - that sounds like one of the best Mother's Day gifts ever. :sunny:

Randi, thank you for posting that. There is another thread going on right now with people complaining about the material gifts that they received or the ones that they didn't recieve. I hope they read your post and remember why we celebrate this day. If you are blessed with children, then just be grateful that you have them. If you have a mother who loved you and took care of you, then give her a call and say thanks. Happy Mother's Day to all.

that does sound like the best gift of all
they only other one that even came close was the lady who got to witness her adopted son's birth 3 days ago
Happy Mother's day

That sure sounds like the best mother's day gift ever....

I can't imagine a better gift. God bless you both!
