We are going to WDW Nov. 29th-Dec5th.

I was told that MVMCP would be happening then. I am not sure if its going to be so crowded that it wont be worth it for my 2 year old or not? Anyone been at this time have any opinions?

Hoop Dee Doo Review-

Will a 2 year old sit through it?

Skip HDD and definitely do the park party. In the parks, there's a huge variety of activity and you can keep moving if something isn't working for your child. HDD is wonderful, but there is a show along with great food, and depending on how long your 2y/o will sit, probably a better idea in a few years.:goodvibes

I will second the vote. Skip HDD and do the MVMCP. There is lots to do there. The HDD you can do any time of year if you go back. MVMCP is limited to the christmas season and it is a lot of fun to see the characters dressed up in holiday apparel

I've done HDDR with a 2yo and she loved it and out of my 4 kids she is my wild child. She was good through the entire thing and the waitress was so nice to her. I went to the Christmas party in 06 and had an 11 month old and 4yo. The younger of the two slept through most of it. I also took my 2yo to the Halloween party and she slept through it. So my thought would be if you are going to take the 2yo to the Christmas party try to make sure she gets a good nap midday so she can stay up for it. Mine had taken a nap but it wasn't a great one and she only made it a half hour.

I wasn't very impressed with MVMCP when we went - - it was extremely crowded during an otherwise slow week. The shows are timed so it is hard to do everything in one night and you basically had to leave one thing to stake out a place for the next thing. DD 5 also fell asleep during the parade so you definitely only want to go if your child will nap in the afternoon or he will never make it through the party. We were very disappointed becuase we had a great experience at a pirate and princess party. Don't get me wrong - the decorations, castle, shows, parade, fireworks, etc are all wonderful but it was very crowded.

We had the same experience and went 2 nights during the week since we had prepurchased our tickets. Both nights we had the same experience.
