I just bought my tix for the Halloween party. Having never been to it before, I was wondering: do most kids wear costumes? If so, are they usually Disney themed? or all types of costumes?:confused3

Also: are all the rides open during the party?

Yes, most kids and many adults are dressed in costume. The rides are open in addition to the trick or treating and dance parties. There is villain meet at the castle and the fireworks are about what the villains would like to do.

Not to be missed and so much fun.

would say most little girsl are in Disney princess costumes? Or is a good mix

Yes, most kids do indeed wear costumes; however they do not necessarily need to be Disney Themed. They can be anything that is cute or funny. For example, last year, my we dressed up my baby daughter as a bumble bee. It looked really cute. Anything like that will make a great Halloween Costume.

My oldest daughter was Alice in Wonderland, middle daughter was Cinderella, youngest daughter was Minnie Mouse. My nieces were dressed as Snow White and Tinkerbell. I was also Minnie Mouse, my SIL was a Mouseketeer, my husband, son, BIL and Nephew were all pirates. We had a blast!!!

We went to this in 2005. My little girls were in Snow White dresses that we bought at Walmart that day (we were staying off-site) and my son wore a batman mask and vampire cape. So you can go either way but I would say most girls are in princess dresses. Heck, many are even when it's not the Halloween party! Have fun--to this day my girls think that Disney World is a normal part of Halloween.

We did it last year and had a fabulous time but I have to say absolutely dress up but LIGHTLY!
It was so humid that my hubby had to go back to the room early, he just couldn't cool down. My ds was overheated as well.
The trick or treating is a blast and the fireworks and shows are unbelievable. You'll see so many more characters than normal.
One good thing to do is bring some of those glow sticks. It's very dark at night in the parks.
My family dressed up as pirates but there was a little bit of everything from Spiderman to Jack the Pumpkin King.
Just have fun with it and don't invest in a ton of money for it. Go to Value Village or Goodwill and piece together something if you can. Then if you don't want to bring it home with you on the plane, you can leave it.
