Well folks, in 7 months Christmas will be here.

We are fortunate enough to be spending some time in WDW in December and I'm waiting for the DVC Christmas tree share thread. :santa:

:rolleyes1:dance3::rolleyes1

Hi,

The threads will not be posted until July 1st for donating a tree and August 1st for sharing a tree. Keep an eye out for the threads around that time.

UPDATE: Please do not send any PM's til the threads are posted in July if donating or August if wanting to share a tree.

Elf Jim.

I can't wait either! I've got a reminder set in Outlook so I'll remember when to start looking!

Hi,

Last year the tree sharing went from Nov 15 thru Jan 10th. These dates may change some but should be close to the dates for this year tree sharing.

Elf Jim.

I'm new to this so need to ask, what is share the Christmas tree all about?

I was so sad when we cancelled out trip for last Christmas, and it was a horrible reminder again to cancel the tree! :rotfl:

We're going this year for Christmas and I hope we get to participate this year again. It is a lovely experience :goodvibes:

Some VERY KIND PEOPLE want a tree when they are at WDW during the Christmas season, so they have it shipped down to the resort that they are staying at and let other DVC members use it when their holidays are over. I had elf Jim's one year. It is a lovely gesture by some very thoughtful people.

We're thinking of doing this, but after the tree season, where does the tree go? Does it get shipped back to the one who donated it? Who ships it?

We're not going to do the tree sharing thing, but I am definitely thinking about our December vacation!

Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it...

The tree is re-packed by each guest and left at Bell Services (box is clearly marked), then the last guest packs it up and ships it the person who donated the tree.

Which reminds me, I need to make a new tree skirt for my tree!

And each person that "uses" the tree leaves some money in an envelope for the last person to ship it back. :cloud9:

By the way, Walt Disney World has released their December calendar.

Does it include information about the Candlelight Processional? I've checked with our guests, we're all in agreement to do it!:banana:Now I just need to know when I can book.
