Not So Great News

I'm not sure if this belongs here but since DVC members tend to get very comfortable in their homes, we might let our guard down. There's a story in the Orlando Sentinel about a 10 year old left alone at the Dolphin who had an encounter with an intruder. She was pretty savvy but still, should never have let the man in the room to start with. I still think you are much safer at WDW than almost anyplace in America but it's just a very crazy world and you have to be aware.

thank goodness the girl used her head. i, too, have always relaxed more at wdw, but never really left my kids alone until they were teens. there were always at least 2 of them together.

Thanks Pam for the insight. I just read the article to my "almost 10 year old" and her reply was "why did the parents leave her alone?" We leave next Monday and will have all eyes on my children at all times!!!
