So, some of you may remember almost 3 yrs ago when I had to have a large benign durmoid removed from one of my ovaries that resulted in losing the ovary?

Since I had that done, they've been keeping an eye on a much smaller version of the same thing on the other ovary. Well, I had another follow up ultrasound recently, and today they told me it has indeed gotten just a smidge bigger. :( While he recommended not rushing into things and is having me come back for another ultrasound in 6 months, I most likely will have to have another surgery within a year or two. They want to approach this carefully so I don't lose the other ovary.

I know it could be much worse...at least they aren't telling me I have cancer or anything...but oh, I hope I don't end up sterile before I'm even 30. :(

I wish I were ready to have children now so I could do it while I know I still can...

Yikes! I'll keep a positive though for you. This is scary stuff.

Oh Angie I'm so sorry. :grouphug: Worse case scenario can you freeze eggs for future use?? I'll keep you in my prayers.

Oh Angie, I'm surprised to see this. Please stay positive.

Finding out when you are still in your 20's that you can't have children of your own is heartbreaking. You should talk to your doctor about possibly freezing some eggs for use later on down the road. I didn't have that option since I didn't even have eggs but since you know you have some you should consider the options.

You will be in my prayers.

No matter what, remember that everything does happen for a reason.

I'm really sorry. As someone said before, talk to your doctor about egg freezing, just in case. You give so much magic to others, here's hoping that you get a little of your own!!! pixiedust:

Sorry you have to go thru this, Angie. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I hope they can find some way to keep it from growing.

:grouphug: My thoughts are with you, I know you must be scared. Have you thought about alternatives like accupuncture? I went through a lot of alternative therapies when faced with infertility in my 20's. If you want to know about any of them, please feel free to PM me.

Hey Angie, I was just thinking I hadn't seen you around lately. Hope everything works out for you. :goodvibes
