So, some of you may remember almost 3 yrs ago when I had to have a large benign durmoid removed from one of my ovaries that resulted in losing the ovary?
Since I had that done, they've been keeping an eye on a much smaller version of the same thing on the other ovary. Well, I had another follow up ultrasound recently, and today they told me it has indeed gotten just a smidge bigger.
While he recommended not rushing into things and is having me come back for another ultrasound in 6 months, I most likely will have to have another surgery within a year or two. They want to approach this carefully so I don't lose the other ovary.
I know it could be much worse...at least they aren't telling me I have cancer or anything...but oh, I hope I don't end up sterile before I'm even 30.
I wish I were ready to have children now so I could do it while I know I still can...
