Not Quite yet....Waivers Are Up for Marathon weekend

OK, I've read all 4 pages so far and am still really confused on the bib number thing. I'm usually pretty quick with math, but am a little befuddled by this. My bib number is 34490. I'm hoping for a 2:30 finish, but did not provide proof of time. I provided an estimated finish time of 2:45. I would just like to be somewhere in the middle of the pack ahead of the walkers.

How is the shirt sizing? I requested a medium, but am feeling a little fluffy. Depending on the brand, I generally wear a woman's large. I wasn't sure how that correlated in to the unisex sizing.

My bib # is 34534 and provided a 2:45 finish time...sounds like we'll be in the same corral! Based on my training I plan on running/walking...and will likely finish between 2:30 and 2:45 somewhere.

Well, given that "there are errors" message, I'm not sure we should put ANY stock in the bib numbers we've seen already.

So will we get an email when they're truly ready to go?

I am sure that Disney will send an email to us to let us know when they are fully functional - and hopefully all errors are corrected. Just saw it posted elsewhere last night and thought I would help out and post it here - didn't like what I saw so hopefully they are fixing that.

bummer I will admit to finding the link for the 09 race but gave up once RunDisney went to a Java website.

I'm not a fan of the number 3 and have 3 of them in my bib number as found earlier today before we knew about the errors. Hopefully they go away. :P

I am having dejavu or did this exact same thing happen last year?:confused3

Yes it did. And they never fixed the numbers last year. They had me in the last starting corrals for both races even though I submitted proof. You are going to need to print out your race results and visit runner's relations. I have a faster proof of time now so I will be in that line as well!;)

Hi Steve's Girl-
I typically would go with a L or XL in either a woman's or unisex t-shirt. For the 2009 race, I got an XL and it is so huge that its big on my 6'2" 200lb husband. So last time, I went with a Large and its still too big. It fits DH nicely, but not me. So, this year, I asked for a Medium. I'm hoping this is the year I can at least wear the shirt :rotfl:

Good Luck!
Leslie

Thank you! Hopefully we both guessed correctly!

Definitely hoping that this year they get it figured out so there is no long line at R-relations. I guess we are back to pacing back and forth waiting and waiting. I'll try to put my pacing into forward moving steps. May as well make us of them.

I hope our numbers change. DH is 12XXX for the full adn I am 13xxx. I registered us within minutes of each other with teh same time. Hope it gets fixed!

More than likely the numbers you pulled up the other day are your numbers. From what I saw it was the half race that had numbering issues. You do not say what your xxx's are. Even if he is in the low 12's and you in the high 13's there is a great chance you are still in the same corral. The higher his xxx''s and the lower yours the more likely you are in the same corral. If not only a temporary ornage fence separates you...though with the wave starts this year it would be better to fall back to his corral/waive in the event you are separated.

I emailed DisEndurance about the issues with the shirt sizes on the waivers, hoping to get ahead of the problem after the Waiver site came back up last night. Here is what came back about the site...

Nothing official has been posted on the website or emailed to any of the registrants for the 2011 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Any link that you used, even if it is ultimately the correct link, is not valid at this point. You need to wait until something is posted at www.rundisney.com or you receive an official email from Disney Sports.

Thank you,

Steve Lapierre
Registration Manager

So for now it looks like the numbers may be right but the shirt sizes for many folks are wrong. I guess we just stand by to see what happens. Either way as anxious as we all are to get our numbers and figure out our corrals we are in a wait and see mode.... Like waiting for Christmas isn't hard enough this time of year... :hyper:

Cheers!

It looks like that mile is going to be BUSY - DD's is 3332! Her 100M number is 657. Do they just let them all start in one big section?

My kids' number are 3269 to 3271. I bet they all start with 3. I can't imagine they would have over 3000 kids running. Could create way too many problems with parents trying to find kids. Are you going to run with your DD? I think my DH is planning on running with my 6 year old, but we are going to let the 8 and 10 year old go on their own. I'll be at the finish line hopefully close enough for pictures.

I think you're right about them all starting with a 3. Even over 300 will be busy, for sure! DH and I will (or both) will run with her. She's only two so she'll definitely need a buddy to run with her. :) I'm excited! Whether she sits down on the track during the 100M dash and/or mile or completes them well, it's a good way to keep the kids included!

A 2 year old definitely needs a running buddy! I'll be impressed if she finishes the mile. That is a long way for a 2 year old!

It will be interesting to see what she does. I wouldn't have even thought to enter her but I had read about kids even as young as 18 months taking part. So, we decided to just sign her up and let her have fun.

There's a one mile track on the base here that she's runs, jumps, walks, gallops, etc. LOL around. But lately, she wants to push the stroller and do other things. So I don't know if she'll do it or not. We're hoping that minus the stoller and with all the other kids to follow that she'll bounce right along. :cheer2:

AHHH!!! Stupid question but how am I supposed to get our waivers & numbers???? I have our registrations but no other emails since then....

AHH!!! Less than a month and the half marathon is full! If they messed up our registration I my pass out! I paid them!

Disney will send an email when the waivers are offically released. The link was inadvertantly leaked before they were ready to release it. I am wondering if they needed to wait until the races are closed before releasing the waivers. Considering the half JUST closed and the full is still open - who knows :confused3
