FH and I are NOT flower people. We know that they take the time to remove the pollen from the flowers but we still don't want them.

However, I plan to make my own bouquets, bouts, and altar decorations. My question is this: will Disney set up the decorations or will we have to designate a the bridal parties and a few guests? I would be willing to pay for Disney to set it up...

Anyone know?

You would have to designate someone to set it up, Disney will only touch favors, guestbook, etc.

Hmm... That makes things interesting...

I guess I'll have to take pictures of SBP and put circles at the places I want the pomanders to go and get a couple people to run out there...

That's annoying though. :headache: Oh, well.

Thanks for letting me know!

You'd be surprised at who is willing to help with this! I bought an aisle runner from an outside company that disney will not touch, and my aunt (who I am not close with AT ALL) offered to set it up for me the day of the wedding. I was plesantly surprised.

LOL ... I keep saying I'm going to do the same thing! But I'm going to go so far as to take photos of each item set up so everyone knows how things should look! :rotfl: I have delusions of setting everything up myself, but that's something I have on my list to ask my planner about when I finally get assigned one.

At my first wedding (:rolleyes1) I had some "extra" friends who I wished could be bridesmaids but would make the ceremony too large. I asked them to be "hostesses". They wore dresses in the same colors as my bridesmaids and made sure our reception site was decorated properly, showed everyone where to go to get to the reception (the wedding and reception were in the same location) and they even took my reception flowers and brought them to an old folks' home the next day.

Oh - they also made sure my 15 year old brother wasn't served at the open bar, much to his dismay!! :rotfl:

Both of them were so excited about this "better" role and even made name tags with their names and then "Hostesses with the Mostesses" on them!

It sure took a load off me and the gals in my wedding party - we knew Becks and Janine had everything under control while we were getting ready and taking the pics after the ceremony. Just an idea! :goodvibes

Oh, wait! Did you say Seabreeze Pointe? If so, remember that any decor/floral/etc. HAS to be from Disney because it's an outdoor venue that is open to guests. Couples aren't allowed to do their own decor there, just personal floral such as bouquets and boutonnieres.

Disney can do silk florals for you also. That is what we did. Or even non-floral arrangements. I think it was Spaceranger Queen that did pinwheels and paper lanterns and it was awesome!

Oh crap! Really? Hrmm... What to do, what to do... Well, that's okay. If Disney's open to doing the non-floral stuff, that's fine by me!:woohoo:

Aww! That sounds adorable! I bet it was amazing!

Could totally do that with my niece and nephew and some other the others! LOL! I  kids that want to help!

They have some really nice non-floral things. I think on the DFTW website there's a photo of SBP with stick-like arrangements, and then I know ColeV had tall greenery and peacock feathers that were beautiful.
