We are trying to decide between Garden Grill or Chef Mickeys for dinner. I don't find many opinions on Garden Grill here. It is for our first night!

We actually eat our first night meal at Garden Grill every year! We stay at the Boardwalk and we like to do an easy thing the first night but like to include the characters. We always enjoy the food and the service has always been excellent and the kids get to decorate their own cupcake for desert. Chef Mickey's is great also, depends on what you are looking for. Have fun!

We have eaten at the Garden Grill twice - once with the old menu and once with the new menu. Personally, I liked the old menu better; however, I absolutely love the atmosphere of the restaurant and would eat their again.

Sorry, I can't really comment on Chef Mickey's for dinner. We only have eaten breakfast their, but it has become our tradition to eat our first table service meal their so that could change sometime.

I was my understanding that they have gone back to the old menu that so many people loved... We will be dining there this Fall :)

We went to Garden Grill on our first two trips and LOVED it! Late lunchtime (like 2 p.m.) seems to be a great time for there. The characters spent a LOT of time with us, and the food was good.

We ate here last year, i think it was the "new" menu. IMO, it wasn't good. Characters were very rushed, and my daughter was scolded by Pluto's CM for touching his tounge. Won't be back.

We ate at Garden Grill last September, and they had gone back to the old menu. It was great! We saw each character about four times, and they were all wonderful. My kids were hanging all over Pluto - no scolding for touching him! Pluto actually put my two year-old's head in his mouth to give her a "lick" - the picture is hilarious! We highly recommend Garden Grill!

We loved Garden Grill :thumbsup2 and then they changed the menu :sad2: I didn't realize at our last trip that the menu changed back to the origional, otherwise, we would have certainly been there. The last time we went, the character interaction was great and the meal wasn't rushed. I like Chef Mickey's (haven't been there in awhile) but in my opinion, Garden Grill is better.

We ate there this last Nov. after they had gone back to the old menu and it was very good. The character interaction was very good also. No scolding from any CM's. Pluto actually put my wife head in his mouth like another poster mentioned above. When we mentioned we were on our way back to OKW, the server refilled our platter and included two togo boxes. We warmed it up and ate it for lunch the next day...smjj

We ate at the Garden Grill last month and enjoyed it very much. We have eaten there often over the years and always enjoyed whatever menu they were using. We've almost come to accept that WDW changes frequently, sometimes for better, sometimes not.
