Not many Value Rooms offered for Free Dining?

Is it just me, or does it seem like Disney offered fewer value rooms for free dining than they have in the past? The offer just came out less than two weeks ago, and all the values are already booked for Labor Day Weekend.

Its a holiday right before school and values are probably the first choice for a lot of families with school aged children. Probably the main factors.

From what I read on here, the August dates/Labor Day dates always sell out the fastest.

I was able to secure 4 days at a value in August, just yesterday. Keep trying, something may open up!

Remember, cancellations will also come at final payment due dates which are somewhere in July. Also last year's computer problems caused more rooms to be booked at the values than were actually available. Seems like that's been fixed.---Kathy

I think the two week holds haven't expired yet, right? Public free dining started April 10- it is April 21- I bet a few rooms will open up Thursday when all holds expire from when free dining first came out.

The dates that I want are not available at pop. Maybe I will wait until Thursday to try and book again. I have never stayed at the all stars. Have any of them been refubished recently?

I got the ASMo for 8/29-9/2 but I booked last week. Keep trying or get a TA to start booking for you, they can always check periodically throughout the day for you to see if your preferred resort opens up.

The other day when I checked the dates that I was going to WDW, It said that only AS Movie was available. 9-11-20-08 and Now all values are available. They must have released more rooms or a lot of ppl canceled.

I booked three rooms for my sisters and my family at POP for Aug 24-31. My cousin wanted to join us but could not a room. I played online a little and found sometimes All Stars opens up. POP is also available until Friday Aug 29. I guess the labor day weekend is the most wanted dates. We do have our AAA travel agent watching for her. But so far, nothing...

Last year and in year's past, the values booked up quickly but then most people ended up getting the resort they wanted due to cancellations. People are smart- it's best to book something asap when a promo comes out then take the time to find out if it's feasible. If they wait, they may not get anything. There's usually lots of "speculation bookings". Hopefully this year will be the same and resort availability will open back up either when the comp holds expire or at final due date. If you're flexible play around with moving your dates by a day or two and by all means, keep checking!!---Kathy

I do think that values book up faster than others.. but I priced free dining with Disney Visa and have continually priced it on the Disney website since it was put up there. I can still book 7 nights at a value resort.

They are opening rooms up all the time. Keep checking. I first booked early on 4/10 when the general code came out. I went back last week and only standard was available, I just checked again and both standard and preferred are available. Last year I didn't book until June and the same with 2 yrs before.

Try looking for departing dates out past Labor Day. We did that and it showed availability, we even got movies. Then call and say you're only staying through the 1st or whatever the day is. I don't know why this worked but it did. We kept trying to get a value for 8/24-9/1 and nothing. Looked for 8/24-9/3 and there was availability.

Thats what I did! I had 9/20-9/28 but wanted to add the 29th.. no go at POP. But playing around online I had through the 30th available. So I booked through the 30th. I will drop the 30th in a few weeks
