I and DW never got to believe it's really them as we both first went as older kids. I remember when I first went at age 8 I ran up to them anyway, just couldn't resist. DS and DD went when they were little so they got to believe that

'Round these parts, (where I live), they are referred to as the Boys Team and the Girls Team. Never seen a HS team referred to as "men". And "Young Ladies Field Hockey Team" is oh, so cumbersome!

Interesting to note that in the movie, Aurora is only 16. (or presumably is at the end). I think to audition at WDW one has to be at least 18.

I've never seen what OP describes, but we have seen the same princess on return trips.

The 18 part is not because of the character, but because of (I believe) union rules. 16+ is allowed for other parks. All of the princesses (except for Elsa) are teenagers in their movie. Auditions will state you have to be able to portray a certain age range (16-20) or have certain features (ie, youthful appearance for Alice/Wendy), but that doesn't mean you have to actually be in that age range to know those characters

We had an Aurora/Mary double this vacation. Noticed it when she started to speak. When I compared her smile/teeth I knew for sure.

A friend who used to be friends with Belle told how the audition process worked and there was many unusual double/triple/quadruple friends (as I understood a politics and a who-do-you-know process). And currently one of the friends of Cinderella doubles with Sally for the Halloween season.

For the Tokyo example, I think that has more to do with a shortage of western friends.

Our Ariel was later a regular CM at the pin store in Fronteirland last September. I noticed, but dd8 didn't.

DD is 9 now, but on our WDW trip when she was 4, she and Rosetta bonded and played together quite a bit at the Pixie Hollow meet and greet. They played hide and seek, and got Tink in on the game for a little bit. We loved it because we had waited an hour to see the fairies (back when that meet was the big thing), but I'm sure the people behind us were not thrilled, because they played with her for a long time. The next day we were back at MK and were watching the parade when Ariel started yelling my daughter's name from her float saying how great it was to see her again. The problem was we had not met Ariel yet! DD was just thrilled the character was calling her by name (we had met Ariel on the 3 year old trip).

The next year when DD was 5, on our MVMCP day she had been at the BBB and was dressed as Snow White (because she knew the ride was closing in a few months and she was displeased) . We saw Snow White and her Prince at the party. The Prince made a fuss over her because she was dressed as Snow White and kissed her on the cheek and told her it was a secret. The next day we saw Ariel and Prince Eric. Eric said something like "I think one of my friends told me about you. Were you dressed as Snow White at the Christmas party last night? Did you see my friend Snow White's Prince? I heard he thought you looked so pretty dressed like Snow White he gave you a kiss on the cheek." I was totally clueless because it took me forever to figure out how on earth he knew that! DD was just really mad that the Prince kissed and told!

On DCL magic last year one young lady was Cinderella one day, and Mickey Mouse's handler the next day. It was glaringly obvious. Her hair even look like Cinderella!

On our trip last month, Prince Charming at 1900 Park Fare was Gaston the next morning at Magic Kingdom. My teenagers noticed, but enjoyed him so much more as Gaston.

Wonder if you are talking about the same Gaston my daughter and I took pictures with on August 6, 2015, he was tall and kind of a skinny fellow (despite the built in muscles on his costume) but boy he was very engaging and friendly! He was worth standing in line for ... after all isn't he "everyone's favorite guy?"

The difference with the name tags was likely because she forgot her real one when she came to work. When I was a CM in 1999, I forgot my name tag on one or two occasions and I had to go and get one from lost and found or someplace that had my name on it. So by the time I was done as a CM, I had several name tags, all with the same name, but with different cities.

That makes perfect sense, Alice and Wendy were both voiced by the same person! LOL

We had the same Ariel. One day at Akershus breakfast. The next day in her Grotto. DD and I didn't notice until we got back home and we're looking at pics. Gorgeous girl!

Yep, she forgot her nametag. Disney requires you to always wear one. When I was a CM, I forgot mine a few times. Sometimes, you can get one with your actual name...other times...you get to be someone else for the day.

This is why Disney does not let their face character performers put pictures of themselves in costume on social media or let their family tag them in the photos. There was a heated contract negotiation over that this summer. Face recognition technology has made it way to easy to spoil the magic.

Now to CMs who name and home town change from day to day that is because they lost their name tag and did not have a back up. I was Alex from Indiana for awhile. I wanted a non-traditional girl name so I went with Alex haha. I was also Chris from Orlando and hated it. At least if you got one that wasn't Chris people didn't know you left your tag at home.

Back in 2009, we had dinner at Akershus and the Snow White we met was excellent. The next day, we saw the exact same CM as Snow White in MK! She was SO good that she remembered us and commented to my then 4 year old that it was good to see us again! <3
