Not impressed with BLT

It was not my first or second choice (tried booking BWV or BCV at 7 months) but I am excited to stay there for the location. I like contemporary decor so that's fine. I am more concerned about the size and layout of the studio. I don't know if anyone who is there now has commented on this yet? DH is not looking forward to picking my blow-drying hair out of his morning coffee.

I also was one that looked in to DVC for a very long time. Nothing appealed to me until BLT. I love the look and feel of the place.

That's exactly how I felt when actual SSR room photos first started to appear. Back then none of the DVC resorts really appealed to me. I actually bought VB points because it didn't matter to me which DVC resort I got at the 7 month mark but when SSR appeared I had to get SSR points because it was where I wanted to be. I added on at SSR and sold my VB points. SSR is still my favorite but AKL is a close second.

Different DVC resort themes works out great so we're all not competing for the same resorts. I like the BLT location, public areas and room views but I'm just not crazy about the BLT room decor (including the Grand Villa ).

You would hate my house then!!! I love them...i would move right in! But you are right , the variety among resorts is great!

I like the decor of BLT, but not so crazy about the number of points it will cost to get a MK view. I'm not an owner, so I can only pray that there will be a time of the year when I will be able to get a MK view at 7 months out. Maybe I'll have some luck the first week of November in 2011.

Funny thing is that my house does not have a modern decor (it's 100 years old, but I have added in some modern touches) - but I do love the decor anyway! I especially love hotels that are modern as it's a nice "escape." I'd probably love your house!
