Not going after all

Looks like it would be in my best interest if I cancel my reservation for Parti Gras

I really wanted to go but deep down inside I knew it would be a really bad idea for me to attempt it.

Unfortunately I have taken a bad turn for the worst health wise and there isn't enough Disney Magic to counteract the damage I could do if I attempted a 3 day run at the parks.. and you guys know me.. I wouldn't be happy using a wheelchair or ECV or (*GASP*)slowing down..lol It wouldn't be me if I didn't stay on the go from 8am to 10pm at WDW!

So you guys have to have enough fun for me too.

I'll miss seeing all of you again (yes, you too Ed)

You know I recently,(and maybe still for awhile) have been in a wheelchair, and leg brace...to say I wasnt the happiest camper..is an understatement, it was gettint better then a 12 yr old boy, came running across one of the lounges on the 4th floor of the Cont. and kicked me right in the left knee, and being Murpheys Law, it was just the right place, sooo I am back at square one..

I hated it, but otherwise, I wouldn't be able to play at the park,. so it was hmm wheelchair...park...and I have to say Parks won out...so between Manny, Eddie, and Dean it was an exciting adventure...and you know w/ Eddie is always an adventure, and you will be staying w/ us, and so you won't have to worry about anything, but Eddie...

So please rethink....

Lauri, I'm so very sorry to hear about your illness. I wish you much Pixie Dust. I do hope that when spring and warmer weather arrive, that will help you feel better. My thoughts are with you and Matthew.
Y'all will be very missed at the Parti Gras.

Lauri, I'm sorry to hear about your health taking a bad turn. I understand how you feel about a wheelchair/ECV in the parks, but it's really not that bad.... and anyway, just think, if Ed missbehaves, and your in an ECV.................. aim for the feet, running over feet is much more fun then just running into him!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not doing well. It totally sucks, doesn't it?

I did want to say that if you think you would be up to it if you just had an ECV, you should go for it. So many people use ECVs that no one will give you a second look (is that what you're worried about?). People that are sick need to enjoy themselves as much as they can to make up for all the crap they have to deal with in the world!!

P.S. BTW, an ECV won't slow you down...you can outrun your whole group to the next pin cart in one of those things!!

Lauri...Im so sorry to hear that youre not feelin' up to comin' down to the event in Feb. Grant it we arent goin' to the event, we were lookin' forward to seein' ya'll & spendin' an afternoon in a park or 3...!!!

Cant wait to see you & Matt again...maybe youll be able to come down afterall...everyone has their fingers crossed for ya...!!!

Lauri sorry to hear you aren't doing so well. Wheelchairs are really a hard thing to accept. It took me a long time but when push came to shove the wheelchair finally won out. I would rather be at Disney in my wheelcahir than not be at Disney.
