I was wondering if anyone else has these problems. I do not get any of the new incentive e-mails anymore and I still have not gotten my planner yet.

Last time we talked to our guide he said that he is still our guide but technically is not in sales anymore, he has moved to a different part of DVC. Do you think this has something to do with it? I think it is wierd that we have a guide that is not really a guide.

Why, is it a secret response? ;)

As an FYI for those who do not know:

If it's not for everyone, it shouldn't be posted on the DIS discussion boards. We do allow "I sent you a PM" or "I sent you an email "on the Rent/Trade Forum.

FYI: The post Mike quoted has been deleted. Left his so others would know not to post "I sent you a PM"

I am having the same issues -- I do not get any incentive emails-- is that because I am in Canada?

For emails, be sure to sign up for them. On the website, once you sign in, it's under News. Look for "E-mail Sign Up".

I just received my planner today and I don't think that I ever get emails. I do occasionally receive something in the mail with incentives but that occurs maybe every 6 months at most. So in answer to your question, I don't think that the fact that you haven't received your planner yet is impacted at all by your guide changing status.

If you just joined in April, you may already have the current one.

It's the big book with all the resorts and points charts in it that you get when you join. Mine from 2008 is purple/blue covered - so not sure if you got that one or the newer edition.

I don't know since I'm STILL waiting for my new one to show up in the mail!

OP -- have you logged on to the DVC website and updated your profile lately. I have found that sometimes my information has been deleted (not sure why). It's good to check it and make sure your address and email info is correct. I get tons of stuff from DVC both in the mail and email. Just a thought!

That is correct. By law DVD is restricted from sending you marketing materials.

This is not true. Just like in the U.S., Canadian provinces have differing laws regarding this. I live in Ontario, and DVC is allowed to send out materials, but other provinces do not carry the same laws. You can check with DVC, and they'll tell you whether they can do business in your province or not.

HTH, Tiger

P.S. I used to get emails just fine, but lately, not much from DVC. I don't expect much as Disney's tech department is definitely not that great.

I ahve updated my e-mail address and re-signed up to receive them a million time but i never do.
