After falling in love with the breakfast here last month during our BC weekend, I couldn't wait to go back!
Our reservation was much later than last time but the restaurant was still very slow, barely half full.
Charlie wants me to express how
strange the servers here are.

Our server last time was very unusual and kind of flighty...and this server, a completely different person, was exactly the same. Maybe we bring it out in them.
We skipped the press pot of coffee this time, but in hindsight I wish we hadn't. I really loved it last time!
Charlie didn't have any problem making his selection:
Breakfast Skillet - served with eggs, Pequillo peppers, Nueske's bacon, onions, and Greek cheese on Sweet potato hash and topped with arugula
Such a good choice! I had a few bites of this and I loved the flavors...very 'smokey' and well-seasoned with perfectly cooked eggs. I didn't even mind the bacon or onions, two of my least favorite things! Very generous portion. Charlie loved it, but he arugula thrown on top was
extremely overly salted, so much so that he couldn't eat it. And let me tell you, for as much as Charlie loves salt, him declaring something as TOO salty means it would probably cause an instant heart attack in a normal person.

But otherwise he was happy!
I was torn on my choices, like last time. I still wanted the greek yogurt, but I felt like it would be such a boring choice. So I decided to ask if it were possible to get just a side of the yogurt. This resulted in me going back and forth with the server, who didn't seem to understand what I wanted. It was strange.

When I mentioned swapping the side of meat that comes with the entree, she finally understood me. Although apparently getting fruit with the yogurt (like it comes as an entree) was going to be a huge problem for the kitchen, so I said no problem, I'll take it plain.
I ordered...
French Toast Baklava - Grilled Fig and Anise country bread with honey, walnuts and cinnamon with your choice of Bacon or Chicken Sausage (meat swapped for yogurt)
I was a little disappointed in this. I thought baklava french toast sounded great, but it was a bit mushy for my liking and very sweet without any real discernible flavors. Still, I AM a big fan of sweet, so I did enjoy it.

But it wasn't nearly as good as the waffle from last time!
And this was the side of yogurt...literally a tiny sauce cup worth:

Kind of seemed like a strangely inadequate trade-off for two huge pieces of meat, but whatever! It was delicious. I don't know if that's because it was truly amazing, or if I was just going through greek yogurt withdrawal, but I loooooved it. I definitely should have ordered the entree portion!
Charlie wants me to note that Kouzzina has "great food, BAD service", in his words.

Like last time, our server for the meal was a bit flighty and detached, and both times they were very prone to disappearing and then forgetting things. I don't recall reading such complaints from others so perhaps we bring it out in them!
That wraps up my reviews for this trip, finally! We'll be back in January with a report for 7 whole days this time, and we've got some unusual plans for that one so it should be interesting! Thanks for reading!
