I posted something similar in the restaurant thread, but got limited replies so I decided to try here.

Our trip for the 10th anniversary will mark a first for me. For 20 years we always spend at least one day DATW plus an afternoon at R&C. Very recently I stopped drinking any alcohol and see this to be my first true challenge. I don't want to deny my wife the chance for the tequila cave, but also don't want to temp myself by going in.

I am putting out a request for great non-alcoholic beverages to keep me cool in the parks. I'm not a fan of sweet or soda so that adds a kink to most thinks I've read about, so throw out any tips for me.

Ginseng Oolong tea or Iced Green Tea at Joy of Tea in China
Japanese sodas (I'm pretty sure there's a few that aren't sweet)
Jarritos in Mexico (though I think these are sweet)

Everything else I can think of is sweet.

PJ: I don't do any drinking around the World either b/c of high prices vs quality. I may even skip La Cava as a result of their diminished sz & now pre-mixed from a jug. Maybe a keeping cool rethink would work. Last trip, I checked out all of the air-conditioned shows around the World including Canada, France, American Pavilion & China. Some I hadn't seen for yrs. Loved the air con and no additional out of pocket expense. I also made a point to venture a bit deeper into the corners of the World to see the displays & architecture including Morocco & Japan. Two non-alcoholic drinks I can recommend (but at TS) would be Tokyo Dining's iced green tea and Marrakesh's hot mint tea service (think they can also serve this cold but the Brits have been drinking hot tea in hot climes for centuries to cool themselves down & it works). Maybe worth a half hr and an appy to get indoors & out of the sun in the afternoon.

Neither DH or I drink alcohol. We usually are drinking water around the world, since we have to come in summer due to school schedules :-) We did have some kind of slushie/slurpee that we got from a stand outside of the American pavilion that was refreshing. I also echo the Marble sodas from the store at the Japan pavilion. Our children love these!

Now, I want to know why no one has every done the topic of ice cream around the world...I'd be first in line :-)

I'd also suggest asking the bartenders wherever you happen to be. Tell them you want non-alcoholic but not overly sweet or soda-based and I'm sure they'll come up with something, and it may not even be on the menu.

In a way, it's almost like going in with a food allergy. We took our under-age daughter to Trader Sam's in January and told the server that she can't have alcohol and is allergic to pineapple (great restrictions at a tropical tiki bar). She went back and consulted with the bartender and manager and they came up with some non-pineapple-containing fruity concoction that my daughter loved.

My hubby hasn't been able to drink for years now because of a medical condition. When we are at a bar he just gets coffee or iced tea, it took some getting used to for him but he said now it doesn't bother him. He also has to eat a low-fat diet and that is harder for him to do when he sees us eating chocolate or pastries.

First of all - best of luck!

Not sure if I have a ton of great selections but if you like milkshakes there are a few places that make good ones (50's printe time, Sci-Fi, Beaches and Cream)

There is the Strawberry oolong tea slush at the Joy of Tea Kiosk in China (not sure if it would be too fruity for you, it is tea based though)

The Cheshire Cafe has a Raspberry Frozen Lemonade that should have enough tart to it to not be too sweet

Always the Dole Whip Float as well
