Bath's are actually more hygenic than showers since showers don't clean all your body parts.Plus, I’ve never been a fan of baths. Sitting there in a warm stew of my own grime and dead skin cells? Blech.
I totally agree. Unless it's real wood floors, just leave the carpet there please!
What body part am I not cleaning in a shower, with a stream of clean water rinsing away soap and filth?Bath's are actually more hygenic than showers since showers don't clean all your body parts.
Unless you are doing hand stands while showering you aren't cleaning all your parts. What body part am I not cleaning in a shower, with a stream of clean water rinsing away soap and filth?
Baths use about 3x the water of a shower, so I’m saving the earth with every shower.![]()
Nonsense. You don’t have hands? You’ve never used a washcloth? There are also shower heads that detach, you know. So you can hit all the nooks and crannies.Unless you are doing hand stands while showering you aren't cleaning all your parts.
Okay? I’m pretty sure I get 100% of my body, even between my toes. And it gets rinsed. We have a rule with the kids, if they take a bath, they have to shower afterwards so they don’t smell like a wet dog. Their hair is never properly clean in a tub.Unless you are doing hand stands while showering you aren't cleaning all your parts.
Still not as effective as a bath.Nonsense.You don’t have hands? You’ve never used a washcloth? There are also shower heads that detach, you know. So you can hit all the nooks and crannies.![]()
Still not as effective as a bath.
Ph neutral Hot water exposure actually does alot for cleaning, not to mention soap.
A couple wipes with a stinky towel is nowhere near as effective.
To be technical a bath then a quick shower would be the cleanest way but that would waste alot of water.
It's levels of cleanliness. What are you smoking?
You can get just as clean with a bath as a shower. I don't ever get out of a shower without 100% of my body having been covered with soap suds, scrubbed clean with a shower pouf and/or my hands (in the nether regions), and thoroughly rinsed. I'm sorry no one ever taught you how to properly shower.
Do y'all shower before getting into the hot tubs? Probably not and neither do the hundreds that got in before you. I know, chemicals keep the water clean...hmmm. When we lived in Japan the tubs were deep and only used for soaking. You scrub down before getting in. Carry on...

This thread is great. Stay tuned for more hygiene tips.
Now I’m pretty sure that has happened everywhere, not just in Japan, when times have been tough. I’ve heard plenty of “old folks” tell those stores; thankful I’ve never lived it.The reason they do that in Japan is because the same family would use the same hot water in the tub for everyone. They wouldn't empty the tub and fill it with new water because that would cost too much in water and heating the water.
