Not Checking In For Flight Home

What happens if I cannot do the 24 hour in advance check in for our flight home? Will we all end up with C boarding passes? I'm not sure how I could check in with SWA for our flight home since we'll most likely be at MGM that night . . .

Anyone have any advice?

Even from the parks, including MGM you can still check in 24 hours in advance. You can use a web enabled cellphone, have someone at home do it for you or visit guest services at MGM and do it there. If you don't check in 24 hours in advance then you will likely get C boarding passes.

I usually have my DH or my sister check me in but I have done it at Epcot guest services as well as AKL and BWI.

I've used iBoardA.com my last 3 or so trips, especially when I am not going to be near a computer. I don't have a web enabled cell phone, so this service works fine for me. At first I was on my computer to see how soon they checked me in, and it was within a minute of the 24 hour mark. Try it...you'll like it.

SW has a history of shutting down these services. Your best bet would be to check yourself in at Guest Services at the park, or find a friend or family member at home who would be near a computer at your 24 hour mark. All they need is your confirmation number and name. Really simple

I just had guest services check me in and print off my boarding passes. We did this yesterday 7 hours before my flight and still got A passes and the flight was sold out.

We always use our cell phones to check in and print our passes when we get to the airport. Have never had a problem doing this and have always gotten "A" boarding passes.

Just want to add that you don't need to actually have a printed boarding pass when you check in online. If you are checked in, you can get the boarding pass "reprinted" at the airport with no problem.

Guest relations has no problem checking you in for your flight. They'll even print out your boarding passes. We were in and out in just a few minutes.

We were at Epcot the night before our flight home (at the 24 hour mark) so we just went over to their guest relations, gave them our confirmation number, they checked us in and printed out our boarding passes. Took all of 3 minutes.

No, you can do any airline that has online check in.

Just a caution for those thinking of using a paid 3rd party to do their SW on-line check in for them....
"BoardFirst" is a 2 year old company that's been doing SW check-ins for 2 years, and well regarded by FlyerTalk regulars. There has been an on-going legal battle between SW and BoardFirst (as well as other companies who do this) and last month a federal court issued a preliminary ruling favoring SW. Because of this injunction and the continuing legal battles BoardFirst abruptly shut down very recently.... It's common knowledge that SW is not happy with these companies' operations and coupled with the expectation that SW will begin charging for A bp's in the future, IMHO it's only a matter of time before the rest of these companies fade away....
