I am glad that you are able start your maternity leave now and the big bonus is that you don't have to return until the end of Oct. In Canada where my dh is from mothers get a whole year off. He was sure shocked when he found out here most people only get 12 weeks. I hope that DS#2 is on a great schedule and sleeping through the night for you. I think it is great that you get to have this extra time with your DS#1.

Let me tell how jealous I am of Canadians! I know it's like that in some European countries as well, and that's just wonderful.

You write so beautifully. I love how much WDW means to you and your family. I think that honoring your mom through an upcoming visit is just perfect. Wherever you stay... perfect. She will be with you.

Thank you so much for the compliment on my writing. Disney does mean a lot to us, and carrying on the tradition is so important to me, not just because of mom, but because we like it too! And I know regardless of what the next trip is that she'll be there with me.

I remember being dilated before with DS, I just don't remember how early on it was. I'm really interested to see if I've progressed at all when I go to the doc's this Friday.

It's nothing fancy, I admit. I just went to the Disney website and printed out a regular calendar. It has a character on top, and I did a different character for the past four months (which is when we started). We cross off each day as it passes, and recently I've had DS start counting the days. It's simple, but it works!

I'm sure these last few weeks on leave will just fly by for you! Enjoy the solo time with your DS!

Oh my goodness, do you have any idea how hot it is today? There's actually a heat advisory in my area and it's supposed to get close to 100.

I think God is having a little ha ha on me for being pregnant during the summer. We ran our errands this morning, and I have now convinced my DS that staying inside and watching DVDs is the way to go!

The summer I was pregnant with Lexi it was brutal. Now here it is normal to have some days with heat index of over 100 but that summer was the hottest summer on record in 5 years. I wasn't due until the middle of August either so I know how you are feeling.

LOL--My youngest was born in June. That's the latest I would want to be pregnant. I thought of you when I saw the heat advisories today.

Now, I don't disparage this child, I'm very excited to have him, but I do have to say, as far as weather goes, I much prefer what I dealt with for my first son. He's a February baby. So when I was hot then, it felt okay because it was cold outside.

Yes, now I just have to wait for it to re-solidify.

You know, you're so right! This is something I'm always talking about with my customers at the bank. Hot is not my issue, it's hot and humid that's just killer.

He's a February baby. So when I was hot then, it felt okay because it was cold outside.

DS3 is also a February baby, born in Chicago. It was -32 with the windchill the day he was born. I actually wore sweaters during my 9th month of pregnancy it was so cold out. Now I barely want to wear a shirt!

LOL, I read about ya'lls weather, and I think--ds was born Feb 15. The week after he was born, it was warm enough to take him for walks. I think all of the flowers were blooming already.

As far as the heat goes--we always deal with high humidity, but I can handle heat even with humidity outside better than in.

Wow! I remember when my DS was born it was beautiful on the drive to the hospital. Blue skies, barely a cloud in the sky, just a gorgeous day.

But no flowers blooming, that's for sure!

I'm trying to be reasonably about our a/c...which is actually at normal levels, but sometimes, I'm sitting on the couch and just sweating. Yuck.

I did, I had the extreme cookie dough that Friendly's makes. YUM.
