Not able to borrow 2003 BCV points

Just made our reservations for November 10th - 15th, 5 nights in a 2 bedroom and a studio. I was not able to borrow points to add on a 6th night. MS said I'll have to call back after closing on June 1st.

I feel your pain. We could not book our 6th and 7th night at BCV in January 2003. I guess we will be calling (like you) on June 2nd to add the two nights.

When I finally got through to MS about 9:20am, I asked for a 2 bdrm at BCV where we just became members. The CM said I couldn't do it since I only have 235 points. I knew we needed a total of 390 and asked to borrow from our 2003 points. She said no borrowing until closing in June. She did say that I should call my guide and ask for an "exception". I did this immediately since when we purchased, this whole situation of borrowing from next year was clearly explained to and given a "no problem" by my guide. Long story shortened a bit, WE GOT IT! We will be staying at our new home, BCV, in a 2 bdrm from July4-12, 8 nights, using our 235 points from 2002( February use year) and borrowing 155 points from 2003. Maybe this will work for some of you too. I know how my heart sank when MS said firmly, "no borrowing,"

Wow Cookie57!! I am so happy for you. Maybe we should call back and talk to our guide since we were not told that we would not be able to borrow until after settlement. I believe that they should have told us this from the beginning. Thanks for the news!

Hi everyone.........new member of DVC, first time using this board!

I bought in BCV in February, use year in September. I only bought the bare minimum of 150 points, in cash. (I know that when I can afford to add on, I'll do so!)

I called two days early to ask about borrowing points. For what I wanted, I needed to borrow only 10 points, and I was granted an "exception" as well.

I'm glad I called to arrange it, because when I called yesterday to reserve my villa, I had no problems!

My first DVC stay will be December 12-17! Woo hoo!
