Not a true TR, but it is my account of what happened......

hi!! this is our next day at WDW.

So we woke up this morning to the sound of kids running down the hall, and all I heard was screaming"we're going to see Mickey YEA!!! I was so excited, It seemed as if this was going to be a good day!!! We got our clothes ready, showered, brushed our teeth, located my DIS guide ( binder) that I had made (thanks to all who told me how to make a guide that would hold our park plans and times and locations), It really came out handy!!!!:thumbsup2

We decided that we would head down to POP cafe to get some breakfast. It was really hard to walk through the doors to the cafe since it seemed as if everyone was on a smoke break and they were smoking at the pool and by the doors to the main building. I, being the chicken that I was did not want to walk anywhere near them for the fear that my o2 tank would explode and I would be gone with it b4 I even got to enjoy the rest of my stay!!:scared1:

That meant that we had to take the long way around to the front and enter the building just to be on the safe side. No problem, we made it to the cafe, ordered some breakfast and purchased our refillable mugs and was able to locate a table with no problem:cheer2:. I started to get excited when I realized that after breakfast we were heading to the MK and I could hardly control my excitement!!! I was beginning to feel as if this was going to be a good trip after all.:dance3:

We ate our breakfast and headed back to the room for me to grab my back pack with my spare oxygen and my LGMH's ( I even brought extra in case I saw some one who needed one). I gathered my o2 supplies, my binder and we headed off to the bus stops.

About 3 minutes later, we arrived to the bus stop and proceeded to wait in line with the rest of the guest that were there as well. I was really nervous because everyone was like staring at me I kind of felt bad at first because it was like being on exhibit and I had nothing to shelter me from it.

This little boy came over and asked me why I was wearing that and I told him the reason and he said okay and went back over to where his parents were waiting. That did not bother me, kids are inquisitive by nature so, I was not at all surprised he came over to us. (thanks to the guest who's daughter also wanted to know why I had to wear my o2, she graciously explained to her daughter that I was no different from any one else, but that some times, other people need extra oxygen to breathe and that I needed it to go see Mickey) I could not have explained it better!!

We had no one in our line ( at first) that needed to utilize the wc ramp, so when we saw the bus pull in we were so excited, just as we are about to start loading, out rolls, this young man and his party of 10. He had a cast on his leg, and I for one know that you can't judge a book by it's cover, but as soon as he came over the people in front of us started to complain that it was not going to be okay for all of his party to board with him when we were all waiting patiently for the bus to arrive.

My husband was like, oh boy here we go someone already complaining, but she was not alone others started to question the driver as to why the rest of his party could not take their place in line like the rest of us.

I wasn't really bothered by it because I could have waited in the line for the wheel chair as well, but I was feeling good ( mickey juice was activated in my body) so I did not mind if I had to wait longer to get on. I also was not sure of how many he could have loaded in his party anyways, so I really didn't mind.

That bus was filled beyond sitting room and they only had standing, so we passed and waited for the next bus that rolled in. Since we were now at the front of the line I did not mind waiting. The next bus came like 2 minutes later and we were off to the MK!!!

I found the welcome from the bus driver to be the greatest I have ever experienced! He was very friendly and very funny!! He had the whole bus laughing, especially when he was repeating the "welcome to WDW" speech, he kind of reminded me of Gilbert Godfrey and I think he is hilarious!!

We arrived at the MK and all in one piece. We unloaded from the bus and headed off to activate our tickets. As we are being searched I realized that my husband had went into another line and as I got up to be searched, the officer's called me a beautiful princess:blush:, I got through with no problems. I went to the side my DH was on and he was getting the third degree, they wanted to know why he had 4 oxygen tanks and no o2 on?, he explained that it was for me and when I waved and they turned around, they said oh okay and let him pass( guess they thought he was there to do more than see mickey ) ???:lmao:

We activated our passes and retrieved our MIL ID cards before heading under the train station to enter WDW for the first time in forever. I was so overcomed / overcame ( can't seem to remember which fits ) with joy that I really wanted to cry, I felt so much better than I had since the previous night and it seemed unreal. After we located a bathroom, we headed over to main street bakery so I could get me a cinnamon roll, yum, it was tasty and then we headed down the street to look for the attractions that we wanted to ride.

I think I rode every ride I wanted to with the exception of splash mountain, It was too cold for me, it was kind of breezy and I did not want to be sick later. I waited in line like everyone else, One time however a CM saw us waiting for a really long time and he came and asked me to follow him and we did , he took us to the FP line and apologized that it was taking forever to board ( space mountain). When we arrived for the SM stand by was 20 minutes so he asked me at the front would I be able to handle it, I said yes and he directed us to the mainstream lines; well, the wait time actually turned into 45 minutes and when he was coming up he saw that we were still in line and that is when he came over to allow us to use the FP lane to advance. He also told me that I should stop by the GR to obtain a GAC. I told him that I would check into it. ( I knew that I could obtain one, but I did not want to). I really wanted to see how far I could get with out using one.

Finally!!! we headed into the hall where they now have the games installed to let you play while you wait, and I was soooooooooooooooooo ready to blast off, my DH was placed in the space car in front and I was in the back. I had to make sure that my O2 was secured and then we blasted off into space. I must tell you that I was scared that my o2 would come un restrained and hit Dh in the head or something. It didn't we arrived safely back to our launch pad and then we headed to our next ride:

At this point, I needed to take a break, I was walking way faster than anyone else I saw, my hubby told me I needed to stop walking so fast cause I was leaving him behind and his foot was starting to hurt!:rotfl2: I am a fast walker, I used to run about 12 miles a day before I was diagnosed with COPD, Asthma, and Pulmonary hypertension. I still like to walk at a fast pace and make adjustments to my o2 as needed to keep up. ( my DH on the other hand can't stand running or walking for that matter)!!!

We stopped to let my hubby catch his breathe and we both made a bathroom stop, when I came out, this little old lady was there and she told me that for someone who is using oxygen you sure look happy and walk pretty darn fast:scratchin. I told her that something may be wrong with my lungs, but my feet did not get the memo :lmao:, she was cracking up, she even gave me a hug and told me to have a nice time.

My DH comes out the bathroom and he has a look on his face like oh lawd, you always getting someone to hug you:rolleyes:, I told him that it's not my fault I'm so nice and he is a big meanie:rotfl2:. We got out the map and just decided to go in what ever direction the wind blew us.

We got us a nice cold drink and went on as many rides as we could, then we headed down to Cinderella's castle for the parade and after that was over, we took turns to go to the bathroom, we saved our spots since we wanted to see wishes and that is where things started to get interesting.

while we are sitting on the curb mind our business from across the street facing the castle, this couple comes up with a stroller and stops dead in front of us. I was like :confused3 we are sitting here and we can't see with you blocking our view.

My DH was getting mad:mad:, he asked them to move but they replied back in spanish saying that they did not understand, lucky for us I knew spanish and I asked them kindly to move.

Do you know that the guy had the nerve to try to sit in between us?:crowded:, told me that his child needed to see and all the good seats were taken. Now while they were standing, they were acting as if they had stopped to take pictures but now he wanted us to move so they could sit.

We were already packed in the corner by the light post so there was no room at all for us to try to accommodate them. Then the CM comes and tells him that he has to move because he was blocking the view, his wife looked really uncomfortable and made it seem that it was all his idea to try to squeeze in, the lady and her daughter behind me was having trouble seeing over my head ( I have a big head LOL) so I offered to let her sit in front of me or to the side once I folded up my wheelchair to make more room, She was so happy that I was letting her sit beside me. I made DH get behind me so she could have an awesome view.

He did not want to, I could tell from the lovely "love tap" that he gave me when moving behind me:duck: Saw the lights go out and then we heard jiminy cricket start the show, We saw Tink fly down and then the Wishes them started, Dh gave me a great big hug and made a big wish and he even had tears in his eye:sad1:, I don't know what he wished for, but I sure that I kind of know and I hope his wish comes through. The time had came for us to leave so we got up as fast as we could to avoid being trampled on.

We then headed for the gates to exit and head back to the resort, I was down to 1 o2 bottle and I needed to go higher since the air was cold and it was affecting my rhythm, we headed out the gates and went to locate the bus back to POP. Waited in line again, no wheel chairs cool!! The driver asked me if I wanted to be loaded, told him no, chair folded up and I felt fine to stand in line and since I know people were tired just like me, I declined to take up more room, we boarded and headed off to POP.

We arrived back in one piece,( I didn't think we were going to) this driver was one who thought he was perhaps playing mario cart wii, cause he did not stop at one stop sign:scared1: and all the yellow lights meant FASTER to him, I was so happy to get off I wanted to kiss the ground, but my lungs and legs would not let me:worship: My husband was scared and he is not easily shaken :rotfl:

We made it back to our rooms and out the side were we were greeting with more smokers who were smoking by the poolside and door. Now some of you may be saying why not try another route, but our hotel room was poolside and we had no choice but to walk all the way around or just pray I wouldn't get blown up while passing through. Some guest were even nice to put it out when they saw me, some others would light up while looking right at me :confused3. Any how, we made it safe and sound, and headed straight for the shower and did our nightly routine:ssst: then it was off to bed we went!!

that is all for today.........more to come at a later time..... thanks for reading...
