I just got home from Celebration Hospital. I've had a sinus problem for awhile. I've already been on a couple of different antibiotics and had a bout with bronchitis. Last Friday, I came down with another bug (one of the joys of teaching school). Of course, it was a sinus thing.
Last Monday, I started having nosebleeds. Not bad ones. They only lasted a couple of minutes, but I had several each day. On Wednesday, I went to CentraCare and got a new antibiotic. The doctor told me that I had irritated something in my sinus passage, but it would pass. Well, it didn't.
Yesterday, I had a nosebleed that lasted for an hour before I got it stopped. Today, I bent over to take clothes out of the dryer and it started again. After and hour and a half, I was not having any success getting it stopped and I was feeling kind of lightheaded.
Now, I sit here with a thing like a tampon shoved up my nose. I get to keep this until tomorrow afternoon. I hope when they remove it that it doesn't start up again. If so, they will cauterize it. Yuck. Let me tell you. I would not recommend this thing called "the rino" unless absolutely necessary.
I do feel much better now. My blood pressure when I got to the hospital was pretty high for me. I think I was just pretty upset. They ran tests and saw no reason for the problem other than irritation.
Cross your fingers for me that tomorrow will be the end of this! It's a shame tonight isn't Halloween. I'm pretty scary to look at right now!
