Not a fan of the low profile candles at Bath and Body Works, is anyone here?

Bath and Body home fragrance addict here. So I thought I would throw out my latest rant.

I bought four of the candle pedestals for the Fall season with them and I really do like them and they look great in my house. But now when I go and try to get my go to scent that I burn in the Fall, with the candles that fit them, there are not any at all in stock in three stores that are within 45-60 minutes of me. Uggghhh. But they have plenty of the low profile candles in the scent I want, they just won't fit the pedestals. So now I have to order them online, thus paying shipping. Oh, well. Lesson learned, probably won't buy anymore of the pedestals they sell for them.

Oh, I used a 20% off code, more than the shipping I got off, but if I could have bought them in store, could have forgone the shipping and used a coupon. Oh, well. First world problem.

Exactly, there was none in stock in the stores, there was plenty of the low profile ones in stock, not the normal candles.

I just ordered them online. Paid a more than I would have if I could have found them in the store with my $10 off $30 coupon verses a 20% off coupon and shipping. If I had not bought the pedestals at BBW, I would have gotten the low profile candles in the store. That is really my beef is the fact that they made the pedestals and then they made two different sizes of candles.

Don't think I will buy any more candle pedestals from them for this very reason. I would be surprised if they get any more of the normal size candles in the Heirloom Apple scent in stores with the Christmas season soon to be upon us.

IF (and that is a big if) they bring it back, my favorite candle for the Christmas season is simply called Holiday. It is the most perfect cinnamon scent with a tiny hint of bergamot and clove. Think, warm liquid red hots! I know it's a weird way to describe it, but it's so nice. For Fall/ Halloween/ Thanksgiving, I burn Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. I tend to like the bakery scents though. Anything woodsy, floral or musky makes my allergies act up.

Also... I am a BBW candle addict. I am not even trying to recover.

Have you tried Cider Lane? I'm not typically an apple scent person, but it is amazing! It reminds me of Granny Smith Apples, cinnamon and caramel. Delicious! I am truly obsessed with it!

Hot Cocoa and Cream, Frosted Cranberry, and they usually have a sugar cookie scented one I burn.

I looked yesterday and they released some of their Christmas Wallflower Plugs, and out of those released, I only really like two of them. I am sure there is more to come, but from yesterday's selection, I would just get two of them.

They do the same with soap covers, too. I stopped buying accessories at BBW because I was only getting one season of use out of them. The next year rolled around and the bottles/jars had been changed. Sorry BBW, I'm not playing that game. I'll stop purchasing extras instead of being forced to buy new every year.

I think I will take your lead here as well. Won't be buying anymore "accessories" from them for the possibility of this in the future. They know what they are doing. Hoping you will buy more of the accessories every season. Now I have bought around 12 of the Fall Wallflower Plugs, boy would I be pissed if they revamped the re-fills not to fit, and they could do that. But I bet the backlash would be terrible.

I'll have to try this. I'm still using one that apparently isn't made anymore, Warm Caramel Cider, and I love it. Maybe the Cider Lane is similar.

I love Autumn and Sweater Weather for fall, and pretty much exclusively Fresh Balsam for Christmastime.

Not 100% sure what I will use for the month of December, I will have to test out the scents a good bit during my next visit to the store. I will probably get 4-5 candles and around 12 of the refills for the plugs. I took some of my candles (Heirloom Apple) that were burnt up and cut out the extra wax and put that into a wax warmer and it melted it pretty well. But I also put out four new ones of the Heirloom Apple.

Any predictions on when the big sales will be for after Thanksgiving?

Yes to all of these!! Merry Cookie is a classic, but I just got Hot Cocoa and Cream during the SAS. I think I'm in love!! The problem is, it smells just like warm brownies, and my kids get mad at me for burning it and having nothing to offer in the way of baked goods.

I only use battery operated candles. None that are lit with a match. Too much of a hazard.
