not a fan of fast pass plus

When we were there last week we were told that for FP+ AP/offsite HAD to use one of the 4 designated kiosks. Because I knew about other locations I went to an existing kiosk, not one I was told to use. Access was available there. CM's didn't question that I didn't have a MB.

Seems Disney is trying to make sure that the kiosks designated for onsite guests don't get bogged down with us second class citizens.

Live report here. Day two. Three hours with concierge service with TWO cast members working on my account.
Still. Not. Fixed. Two days no fastpasses and I depend on those suckers.

What the hell is Disney doing?
Stopped in a park kiosk to check and yup just plain locked out.
I THINK this is happening to many people who started their accounts with the same login ID as they use on other Disney owned sites. At least the CM that tried to help me seemed to feel was happening.

Kinda not fun being their test subject.

Are they doing something to reimburse you for those 3 hours?

And are they giving you paper FPs, or some form of FOTL access?

You can do this now, and it's an example of one of the benefits of FP+.

Just take one of the options that you're offered and change the times of the individual attractions so they fit your schedule. For example, in your case, you could choose an option with 3 choices in the middle of the day. Then you could change TSMM to 9 AM and Star Tours to 6 PM, and do whatever you want with your other tier 2 attraction (like Tower of Terror).

Once you know your autograph times on the day of your visit, you could try to change your FP times, but if you can't you still have something.

Hi, again, they may get this fixed, and I understand that you could do this before, but this past weekend the ap would not change one time. At least for us. You could change the whole set of three. It would give you the option to change just one but it never worked. One of the magic experience or whatever cms told us you couldn't do it. But it may have just been the strain of the new system without the legacy passes and they'll get it fixed. Right now I'm not counting on it.

When was this?

In late December we were definitely able to change times for one attraction, both at the kiosks in the park and through MDE while back in the room. We also did it at home before we left for our trip.

After you have made FP+ selections, you should be able to change just one to either a different time or a different attraction. When you go to the screen to make the change, you should select "change" and not "replace". Then you select which of your current choices you want to change.

Two days ago.

I used the same login and have not had any problems.

My friend accidentally link two tickets to her name. It took us two visits to get t fixed. They gave us a paper of the same times for the one with the problem and park entrance for the day. The next day it was fixed and the entire party got a fourth FP.

We did have an issue several months ago when we first tried to make FP+ reservations for a trip in November. It ended up having something to do with someone in the family having 2 Disney accounts, so when we tried to link our accounts, mine was linking to one account and her ticket was linked to a different account.

It took a call to Disney IT to straighten it out, but they took care of it pretty quickly.

For marathon weekend the version of the app I had on my iPhone allowed you to either edit everything or swap an attraction or change a time.

This sounds like an isolated problem and not a system design.

Using my AP this afternoon I was able to make a set of reservations for a date in February. I then changed one of them to a different time before canceling all of them.

maybe it is android/iphone

it may have just been the system in the park was bogged down from everyone using it at the same time? Maybe they can add bandwidth to it.

I'm waiting for the "Lunch with an ex-Executive" offer...

That is ridiculous. I hope that they do something to make up for this. :sad2:

That is interesting. And disgusting if that's the actual purpose.
:furious:

and I'm glad to hear that this should work so I won't have to think of flooky work arounds.

OK, I just tried this on my phone. the ap works a lot better at home than it did in the parks. Or maybe it is the time of day. But I was able to do just this - make a fast pass selection of three, and change star tours only to the afternoon. So at least it works in advance so I can set it up that way. It must have been glitching in the park from the load. The option was there it just never worked. A cast member said that's how it was, but you know how that goes.

Asides - I first tried to do it for tomorrow, but I coudn't get a toy story before 5:30. I hope they are saving some out for kiosks people, but I guess they still have legacy fast passes at the studios tomorrow so they must be saving out for that. I tried in Febuary and couldn't make a toy story before 11:30, I tried for the last day available to me March 21, and got 9:10. so I learned if you want an early toy story to do it at 60 day mark.

Starting today, there are no more paper FPs at DHS.

There has been evidence that FPs have been held back for same day use.

It has never been stated by Disney that it's an unintentional loophole. People have reported being told by CMs to book a room to get FP+ for their trip. They are aware of this.

It's your opinion that you should only get prebooking for the time you're onsite. That is not Disney's current rule. It is very different than booking one night to get EMH for your whole trip. Using an old card for EMH was not allowed. Booking FP+ past your resort stay currently is.

That's not what the reservation guy told me. He specifically said I would get FP+ only for the night we stayed onsite. Which contradicts everything I've been reading.

I just booked a throwaway room for one night. Linked 5 day tickets. Booked FP+ for all five days.

He said when you check out you lose them. Hope he's wrong!

It's not any different than AP holders who "unlock" their MDE accounts with an onsite stay then can make FP+ for up to 7 or 14 days at a time after they check out. The onsite stay "unlocks" your account for FP+ and will remain unlocked as long as your ticket is valid.

One thing I haven't heard is if people who have multiple tickets linked to their account can continue making FP+ reservations on subsequent trips until there are no more valid tickets linked to the account.

I was there in December and linked a 10 day non expiring to my account but entered the park using an AP that I purchased while there. I can still make FP+ reservations for any day thru sometime in March. I am going back in June and will be able to book FP+ when it gets closer either using that ticket or my AP if I link it

Are they giving you Super Fast Passes ??? The paper kind that you can use anywhere ? They should be, if they aren't I'd start asking for them tomorrow.
