Am i too old to have my nose pierced??? I would love to get a cute tiny diamond stud in my nose but am very scared of the pain. I a 38 year old Mom of 2.
Does it hurt bad????

I think they look absolutely adorable but, as much as I would love to get one, l think I'm too old (I'll be 30 this year).

Watch some YouTube videos.

It hurts, but it's quick.

And no, I don't think you're too old. :)

I don't think you're too old!
I'm 21 and I'm getting one at the beginning of summer (:

DD got her nose pierced at 13. it wasn't fun! the needle went right through, but getting the jewelry in wasn't easy. the post isn't straight and they have to really work to get it in. everybody we know has had the same story too. everybody says it's the worst piercing (on the face).
DNiece had her tongue done at the same time and it was simple and almost painless!
i DO think the nose piercing is super cute. if you want it, get it!!!
besides, what if you had it done before?? is there a time that you would be expected to stop wearing it, because of age?? no way! i say get it done!!! :thumbsup2

You're certainly not too old; I've a couple friends who're older than you who still rock the nose ring :thumbsup2 I used to have one, (a million years ago ) and though the pain is about comparable to having one's ears pierced, the cliche' about it being &%$#@*&!!! if you get a cold is soooooooooo true :rotfl: .

I'd say, if you want to wear a nosering, go for it :thumbsup2

I don't think you are too old, but I think 13 years old is way too young. That gives me pause about parents who would allow a young child to do that.:guilty:

I am thinking it might be fun to have my tounge priced turning 25 in June but not sure if it is a good idea might wait untill after the wedding

I guess it all depends on what you do. Some professions will frown on it, but if you're a SAHM or in some sort of job that wouldn't mind it, go for it. I didn't like when the lady who cut my hair when my regular stylist was gone had one. It constantly looked like she had a booger hanging out her nose from the end. :scared1:

Im the biggest chicken ever. I did mine myself with a needle. It hurt a little but not that bad. I think your young enough!

that's funny.....thanks
we all have our own idea about ages, etc.
i'm assuming you weren't a member of the bad parent thread a while back?? ;)

No way!!

I am 49 and about 2 years ago I got my nose, eyebrow, ear cartilage and tongue pierced. My kids are grown and I was just feeling suddenly independent. I have since let go of all but my ear & nose. I have a small diamond stud I love.

My cousin's wife has one. She's 30. She said it didn't hurt too bad.

I'm not sure what I think about them BUT I do know that if you've got the right nose for it and can tastefully wear it, then go for it!

did you get them all at the same time?
just curious, why did you let the other piercings go?

My guess would be that you don't work outside of the house and are raising your children or are self employed. But if you do work you may want to ask your employer first.

Go for it! It doesn't hurt that badly, like a PP said, it's like getting your ears pierced. One quick pinch, then it hurts a little getting the jewelry in, after that you're golden.

I think little shimmery nose rings are cute :)

that's what DD said too. getting the jewelry in was hard and painful. but after it was in it was fine.
my niece was the opposite with her tongue. her pain was really bad a few hours later and lasted for about a week.
i also like the little sparkly studs. i personally don't care for anything too big, or hoops.

Yeah tongues are a pain. It's amazing how popular it got! Healing my tongue wasn't fun! (It's looong gone now..)

The sparklies are so cute now!

Too old no. But my employer has rules against visible piercings other than ears. We had a couple girls have to remove their nose piercings because of it.
