Norwegian Cruise Line

We were on the NCL Pearl to Alaska. Loved the cruise. The food was excellent, shows were good, and my daughter had fun at the kids club. We like Disney better but NCL was much cheaper.

Happy to hear that! I'm looking into the Pearl for next August!

I would look at another line. We cruise often and always meet people who have cruised NCL once and hated it, saying they will never cruise them again. We joke NCL stands for the Neveragain Cruise Line.
Food is horrible, service is a joke, and often crew did not show up for scheduled events like kids club and trivia. Breakfast dishes were still laying around the pool deck when we went in for dinner. The next morning fries were on the pool deck. The pool towel bins were always empty. We never experienced this on other lines.
I cruised NCL over spring break 2014 and I NEVER experienced any of those things. We enjoyed our cruise and wouldn't hesitate to cruise NCL again.

I second checking out Costco Travel to compare prices. We sailed NCL on the Sky in the Owners Suite. It was great and Costco saved us a bundle of money. We have sailed Disney, NCL (2 times) and Carnival. Disney had the best food but we dislike assigned eating times. NCL let us eat when we wanted and that was nice. Carnival was good for a cheap cruise as long as you like the ports. Food on Carnival was passable but certainly not great. Disney allowed us to bring alcohol on board. NCL in club level provided alcohol to our suite as part of the cost but when we had a NCL window room we were not allowed to bring on alcohol. Carnival did not allow alcohol to be brought on board.
